BRAGGING RIGHTS:
"From day one, Old Navy was a revolution. We were something the world had never seen – fabulous, affordable fashion. We didn't take ourselves too seriously, and we broke the industry's rules. We said fashion didn't have to be just for rich people – it could be for everyone. We opened our first store in 1994 and we've been on a roll ever since. We were the fastest retailer to reach $1 billion in sales (in just four years!) and today we're one of the largest apparel brands in the world, with more than 1,000 stores across the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and Japan.
It's true though, each time we visit the US, Old Navy has always been a part of our shopping agenda. Basics and classic pieces, casual but dressy clothing can be found here!

It was packed last night! A mixture of the press, Old Navy enthusiasts, and the Tantoco and Huang family gathered to this historical event. Yes, I am actually calling it historical. Old Navy in Manila, is the first flagship store outside of the United Staes, and the first franchisee in Asia!

The Executive Vice President of Store Specialists Inc.'s Anton Huang makes a very good speech welcoming Old Navy to Manila!

EVP of SSI, Mr. Anton Huang
Mr. Robert Frank welcomes everyone at the launch, he was just beaming and he was overwhelmed by the people's reception of Old Navy being in Manila.

We are very pleased to have our first franchise stores open in Manila” said Robert Frank, Executive Vice President, Old Navy, International, "Bringing our American fashion essentials that are accessible to every family is something we are proud to offer the people of the Philippines.”
Old Navy EVP Mr. Robert Frank
US Ambassador to the Philippines, Mr. Philip Goldberg
For the ribbon cutting, Anton was joined by his two daughters, Nikki and Isabelle, along with his beautiful wife Nina Huang.

Everyone's beaming and proud! Months and months of hard work, has finally paid of! The Old Navy store is amazing! It's huge! I've never seen a brand this BIG for just one brand. Just like the Old Navy stores in the US.

Ambassador Philip Goldberg, EVP Robert Frank, GM Blair Dunn
These "Old Navy Manila" merchandise is a first for Old Navy! See? I told you it was a historical event. Anton Huang as made fashion merchandising history!

I am totally in love with their cotton-canvas totes! So fun and versatile, functional yet fashionable!

The store is just HUGE! Women's clothing is found at the ground floor.

Waaaaah! The classic Old Navy 'Flops hug the back wall. I just lost it! LOL And the prices? Oh my gosh! Two for a whopping price of PhP 395! You can own all colors! Ok ok, fine that's just greedy. Who cares? Ha!

The Old Navy Jeans! One of my favorite sections of the store. Everyone loves jeans, and it's affordable at PhP 1,650 ($37?? unbelievable.)

The show began with Chino Lui Pio and Bianca Roque-Brandner as our hosts.

The kids' clothes are just so hip, chic and still adorable.

The children's clothes are found on the second floor. This is just heaven for all the mommies out there, hell for the daddies. Hahaha!

The men's shopping paradise is found on the third floor where all pants, jeans, polos, and tees known to every Tom, Dick and Harry are.

Here are some of my sister's friends (and has become mine as well) from way waaaaay back spotted at the event:
Payless' Brand Manager Raissa Barzaga, my forever young sister Margs Lopez
Me and Raaaaaaais!!
Raissa, Margs, and Tod's Brand Manager Monica
Kathy Huang, Margs Lopez, Dina Tantoco and Catherine Huang
Old friends, the fabulous women behind SSI/Rustan's: Mich del Rosario, Monica Salvador, Lana Lotho, Karen Guinto, Jia Estrella, Anton Huang and Margs Lopez

And of course, I saved the best photo for last. Me with the person who is responsible for my bankruptcy (and why I never get to ever save money), Mr. Anton Huang himself. Hahaha! Congratulations Anton!

The first new store is located at Bonifacio High Street and will open on March 22, 2014 to the public. The second Old Navy store will soon follow by opening in Glorietta on March 29.

Oh, and before I forget, all denims will be 50% off on opening weekend! March 22-24! Don't miss out!
