I have had these photos for about 3 months now but I only got to post this today. Don't you just have one of those days when you're feeling just the teensiest bit conservative? I used to love this dress because it was the dress that I would put on when I was in a hurry to just run errands or have lunch with friends. But now looking back, I find it a little bit conservative. I mean, the length at least.

It's the height of summer and it's really pastel color weather. If that's even a thing. Hahaha! Anyway, I dressed in cool pastels because it is getting so hot lately! I actually felt cooler when I wore pastel colors.

I am not complaining about the heat too though because I don't like rain. It's always so hard to dress up and move around in rain. So I am making the most out of our sunny, summer days before the rains start to fall!

Yes! Finally, I found the perfect blue dress! I have been looking for a blue dress since the DOVE Summit because I fell in love with the color. I found out that I looked radiant and glowing in the color blue. And not just any blue! Not pastel, neon, or navy -but straight out BLUE.

I looked everywhere, but no one carried a plain blue dress. They were either printed or had some weird cut. So I gave up on looking for the illusive dress. One bored afternoon, I was stalking people in Facebook and came across an ad for Zalora Philippines so I clicked it.

I have been dying to post these photos because I love how they came out. Hubby took some photos in Intramuros testing his new lens, and I just went along for the ride. A Sunday we can finally spend together! It's been a while since we spent time Sundays together because I have been working doing weddings. But the wedding peak season is slowing down, and finally we have more leisurely days to spend together!

Anyway, on Sundays I love dressing up in lazy lounge clothes in cotton fabrics, it's been hot lately so this dress was just the way to go!

So last Monday was Rustan's Color It Summer event at Raffles and I just had a fabulous time! In the invitation, they told us to come in summer-ready clothes, something comfortable, and yet dressy I guess. Rummaging through my closet, this is what I came up with!

I just love wearing harem pants because I think it has a lot of character/personality. At least for me. I also think that tie-dye shirts are just so fresh and cool to the eyes when it's in pastel colors. And so, I just put the two together, and this is my summer style for the event: Street Smart Casual.


You may notice that in the following photos I am not wearing my necklace anymore because I just didn't like how it looked. I don't know, I just felt like it was too much... Oh and it made me look like I had no neck. Ha! But I love that neckpiece. That one is from, where else, Forever 21. I'll wear that again in another outfit post.

So today I had a shoot, I chose a lounge dress for work last night but when they told me we would be shooting at the studio and outdoors, I had to wear something that I can easily move in and would be able to sit everywhere without me worrying about my underwear flashing! LOL. I didn't want to wear shorts today either, and I didn't want to wear jeans, I didn't want anything that would cling to my skin. It's been breezy, but the air is getting a little bit warmer (and it's been raining!). Probably the only thing that I don't like about our weird summers.

I love florals! I think they're very spring/summer, but they can be quite versatile. The tapered trousers are a little bit trickier to wear, but can disguise a lot of my *cough cough* muffin tops.

Hmm... I don't know what the difference is between wide leg pants and maxi pants. I guess they're one in the same. But anyway, I'm back again with another outfit post. It has been extra hot these days, another sign that summer really is fast approaching.

These photos were taken just before sunset. I just love the yellows, oranges, and reds all around me. It feels like Boracay minus the white sand beach and the cool clear water.

To be honest, I never really cared much for Chambray tops in spite of me seeing them everywhere. But when I was in Forever 21 shopping with one of my BFFs, she told me that I should get one. I modeled it for her at the store and she was convinced that I should get it. So I did, not knowing how I was going to pull it off.

I got it mid last year. So I have had it in my closet for months, the time when I bought it it was 2 sizes too small for me thinking that I could just use it for layering. I never got around to wearing it, wondering how I was ever going to pull it off, even if I wear it as a cover up.

It's my day off again today from work and I spent the day with my mom, my sister and her girls swimming and lounging around at the Serendra poolside. We had just planned to spend a lazy day today so I wanted to dress for the occasion.

I wanted to wear something that would be easy to lounge in but still be able to look dressed up if we did decide to eat downstairs at the restaurants, which we did. Had a long brunch at Mamou (Duck Flakes... YOWZA!)

Today, I gave myself a challenge to wear everything from Landmark, except the purse and the shoes though. And here is what I came up with! I have a lot of nice pieces from Landmark (sings "Living it up at Landmark..."), and since clothes and accessories are not my passion, I like looking for budget friendly items in stores that are not so expensive, but updated classic pieces. I am a bag and shoes kinda gal.

Once in a while, it's nice to have a few dated pieces in your wardrobe to make the mundane more fun to wear. Like my classic denim shorts and plain white sequined top that usually looks boring... but throw in a Japanese Kimono over it, it adds pizzazz to such a plain outfit!

These fashionable dated pieces will eventually go out of style, but will come back. They always do.

If you are not so much of a black clothing type of person, try introducing a little black into your wardrobe. The color black has an instant slimming effect and can always look classy and chic. DO NOT go over board though. Too much black can easily create a dark and depressing look, so try pairing it with other colors.

Yesterday, I was invited to review a salon. (thanks to Angela of Lush Angel for arranging it for me *HUGS!*) It's Sunday and it's always nice to dress up on Sundays. When I go on shoots or doing weddings, I always wear black. But on my "days-off", I wear color colorsss!
