Toning without the Alcohol
#faceitwednesdays #aboutface
I am not much of a fan of alcohol-free toners. I feel that my skin doesn't get clean! But on the contrary, alcohol-free toners are actually better than ones that contain alcohol because prolonged use can cause the skin to dry up and cause the skin to eventually darken. I learned this from my derma.
Alcohol-free toners does the job as well as the ones with alcohol so why not?
Celeteque DermoScience Alcohol-Free Toner 125ml, PhP 129.00 |
At makeup school almost 10 years ago, I could only afford Celeteque when we were studying skin care. I love this brand because not only is it affordable, but it really works too! It does the job very well and it won't hurt your wallet specially when you use it everyday on everyone else but yourself!
To this date, I include Celeteque's moisturizer in my professional kit for those clients who have sensitive skin. I used to love using toners that has a menthol feeling because it seems that my skin is cleaner. But after using alcohol-free toners, I think I will start making a switch.
I love the clear packaging. You can see how pure the product is.
Celeteque is really made for people with sensitive skin. That's why it's perfect for makeup artists when they don't know how their client's skin will react to the products.
I just love using the cotton pads from Nippon. I love that it doesn't fall apart and it's really very smooth! It doesn't contain any tiny beads that scratch your skin. Anyway, this is just the first swipe. Look at all that remaining dirt after I have already washed my skin!

I've never had a problem with toners with alcohol in them. I know they tend to dry my skin but I did not know that it can darken your skin when using for extended periods of time! Thank you so much for the tip.
ReplyDeleteIt's still good to know that there are alcohol-free toners that also work, because maybe alcohol can be a bit to harsh on our skin.
Love the new picture on you banner!
