#eyespymondays

Hello beauty! It's Monday once again and it never has to be so bad when you have your brows, eyes, lips, and cheeks on point!

It's been a while since I last featured an eyeshadow product in my blog, and I am so happy to be featuring Pink Sugar's Eye Candy. Every since they launched, Pink Sugar was one of the few brands I visit in the cosmetics department just to see what they have new.

Ever since they launched, I have been using their Sweet Cheeks blushes and the Sugar Tints and they never disappoint. I also use them on my clients, and I always get compliments how the makeup are long lasting and how much the shades look classy.

Pink Sugar Eye Candy Eyeshadow Palette, PhP 699 each

I am not much of an eyeshadow wearer, but when I do go out on events, I go full on makeup and just love applying eyeshadow. There was a time when I got obsessed with Maybelline Color Tattoo and just wore every color they had, a different color everyday! Eyeshadows are fun, they don't have to be boring!

I still the Color Tattoos on occasion and just love using the lighter shades as a brow highlighter! Now comes Pink Sugar's Eye Candy Eyeshadow Palette. I have a new obsession I think.
I opened these palettes last week, and I have been using them everyday for a week and I think I am in love. I love how they have two palettes: EC-01 which is the more playful one with blues, greens and pinks, while palette EC-02 is the more conservative one consisting of mostly nudes, bronze, and browns.
This EC-01 palette reminds me so much of Lancome shades. Lancome Summer Eyeshadow Quads. Specially the blues and the greens. Lancome loves combining fun shades with more neutral shades in one quad to best create looks for the summer.

But this is not strictly for summer ladies, even with this palette consisting of blues and greens, they're extremely wearable during the day no matter the season.
With regards to pigments, OH MY GOSH. I love how a single swipe can create such intensity. It's extremely blendable and even when you combine the shades together, the play very well with each other well creating a whole new more customized shade.

I am really in love with the aqua shimmer shade and the pinks.
Palette EC-02 is the more "conservative" palette. Reserved for the working girl or for the less adventurous one. It consists mostly of browns, nudes, and bronzes... And that plum shade though... Love it.
This palette reminds me so much of the palette I received from Estee Lauder before. The Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow Palette in Captivating Cocoa.
Some appear more orange than they actually are in the photo, but it's not this orange. It's actually a subtle kind of gold/bronze.
Since I am always sporting the brown and bronze eyeshadow look, I decided to go with the green eyeshadow today to wear to an event. I haven't worn colored eyeshadow in a while and this is a good day to start!

I love blending the eyeshadows together because they are not at all chalky. I hate eyeshadows that fall off as soon as you blend them and you are left with no product at all on your lids and you end up reapplying and layering the eyeshadow.
But with Eye Candy, I love that I was able to blend the green eyeshadow and then blending out the edges with the pink eyeshadow, and the result is really flawless. I then accentuated the outer corner of my eyes with a dark green eyeshadow.

Then I used the light champagne shimmer shadow to highlight my brow bones. You can see how wearable these shades are even during the day as long as you keep it subtle and apply a lippie that balances out the entire look.
The best part about these eyeshadows is that it's not only of great quality, they are also so affordable at only PhP 699 per palette! It's economical because you only need a little dip to be able to use on your entire lid and just a little to blend too!

Which of these palettes would you choose?

  3. The more neutral ones seem interesting. I don't think I'm brave enough for the more colorful ones. :)
