Love is On with these new Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolors!

Just when you thought Revlon was late for the liquid matte lipstick party, they come out with three amazing new Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor liquid lippies. I have always loved Revlon and their abililty to keep their makeup line young and fresh that appeal not only to older women, but young adults too (Thank you Emma Stone!).
Revlon has done it again with these new lippies with their very cute packaging and really highly pigmented formulation that lasts all day! So here’s a closer look at the brand new Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color. If liquid lipstick is your thing, get ready to need them all!

These come housed in a flat rounded tube with a frosted container. Each gloss holds 0.2 oz of product and has a sponge applicator for application.
But before anything else, I just want to mention they do have a flavor and fragrance that kind of tastes like cough syrup. The taste did not really bother me, but I can see the flavor being an issue for sensitive users so I just thought I’d bring that up.

I received three shades from Revlon. All of which are very much wearable shades! With these names, you can tell what theme they are trying to go for: LOVE IS ON. Love it!
It does not take a whole lot to remove these lippies on your lips as well. No need for the really heavy cleansing oils, normal cleansing wipes will do. They do however, last on the lips for a solid five hours without bleeding, feathering, or cracking and flaking. The formula maintains that balmy feel from the first application which I find very nice, specially when I have dry lips most of the time!
I think Revlon kinda reinvented the word matte lip color with these lippies. It's really a hybrid consistency that reminds me of a creamy lipstick, lip balm, and lipgloss all in one -anything but ultra matte actually. They did a fabulous job with the consistency, the pigmentation is incredible too with strong, vivid color pay off on first application, and the formula is a joy to apply and wear.

I did notice however that these lippies are more creamy than matte. Describing these or naming these as ULTRA HD MATTE could be misleading because it does not have a matte finish.
I was expecting a more matte finish like Sleek's Matte Me Lip Cream in Rioja Red or Pink Sugar Sugar Tints, but these are looking a bit glossy and seem creamy, but the color is spot on. Highly pigmented which takes only a single swipe to get this intensity.
I do not have a preference when it comes to matte finishes so I do not really mind how these seem more creamy than matte, but it does disappoint a bit for women who love matte lippies because even after this lippie sets on your lips, it has a more creamy finish than it does matte.

I also noticed how their Ultra HD Lipsticks have a more matte finish than these. However, this does not take away how great their new formula is! In my honest opinion, they wear incredibly well but most importantly, the formula is very comfortable and light on lips.
At first application they feel like a thin liquid lip balm of sorts. Then it wraps up your lips up in a nice cushy almost balmy layer of color that feels lightly hydrating.

I have one of these, and I really like it! The only thing that hinders me from loving it is staying power - it fades in my inner lips after several hours.
