Tony Moly Banana Sleeping Pack

#aboutface

If I haven't mentioned it yet, I am currently obsessed with sleeping packs now. Sleeping packs are big right now because you go to bed with your skin looking like it does and you wake up with glowing, plump skin! This is the second sleeping pack I have tried, and the other one being Too Cool for School's Pumpkin Sleeping Pack.

I'm really so happy that Tony Moly included english instructions in their packaging so it was easier for me to figure out what it was used for. I have been seeing this product in Tony Moly's counters because I really loved their fruit packaging. They have other products in cute fruit containers too! They sent me most of them so I will make a review on them soon too.

So, let's talk packaging...

Seriously, how can you not love it, right? It's just too cute! I guess the only bad thing about this product would be that it would stand up, having it really look like a banana our helper actually put it in the refrigerator. But that's not really a major issue for me.
It has a sort of velvet-y/rubbery kind of texture and easy to hold. The bottle itself is fairly squishy, so you just squeeze the product and it comes out from the top!
This banana sleeping pack has a lot of benefits. First of them being packed with, obviously, banana extracts which contains 10,000ppm banana extracts. I absolutely have no idea what that means but it actually sounds really good. LOL If you are knowledgeable in Chemistry, do let me know! Second benefit would be that it contains Chamomile extracts too which are anti-allergenic, and they help cure acne by removing toxins and cleaning sebaceous and eccrine glands through sweating. Chamomile Oil/extract is also a natural skin soother that works well for treating sun or wind burn. Chamomile is useful applied to the skin as a pain, inflammation and anti-microbial treatment.
It has a very thick, slightly jelly, cream consistency. It's a heavy cream that you apply on your skin, and it's definitely not a light sleeping pack. So if you have very oily skin, I probably wouldn't recommend this. It also feels sticky when you apply it initially, and even after it dries.
It's not so terrible though because it gets absorbed quite fast on your skin and it won't make a mess on your sheets. But I could definitely feel it on top of my skin even as I slept. And when I get up to feed the baby and we go to the living room where there is no aircon, it gets even stickier. It's slightly uncomfortable, but if you're used to sleeping with masks or heavy creams in the evening, then you probably won't mind. If you're really sensitive to those kinds of things, then this might not be the sleeping pack for you.
So before applying the sleeping pack, this was my skin care regimen:

Cleanser: Shiseido Ibuki Gentle Cleanser
Toner: Burt's Bees Daisy White Facial Toner
Serum: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
Moisturizer: CLINIQUE Even Better Brightening Moisture Cream Plus
Eye Cream: The Body Shop Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate
Sleeping Pack: Tony Moly Banana Sleeping Pack

As you can see on the photo below, my skin is quite shiny after applying the sleeping pack. Sorry about the quality of the photo, I used only my iPhone to take a selfie because it was kind of late already and I was really sleepy!
The night before
The following morning, my skin is not as sticky anymore, but it still felt a little heavy on the skin so I splashed cold water on my face and skipped the cleanser. I loved how plump my skin was and how soft it was too! My skin was clear and it looked as if I slept for 8 hours when in fact I only had 4!

My dry patches has disappeared (well, I have been using this sleeping pack for a week already), and it has restored its glow. Seriously.
The following morning, sans makeup

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS:Length of usage before review: A little over one week

  • Skin looks radiant and bright.
  • Rather fast results.
  • Does not cause breakouts (for me at least).
  • Berry extracts sooth dry, itchy, and flaky skin.

  1. I have tried a sample of this just last week. I got the same results but it is not sticky for me. This is so in and reminds me of Minions because of their love for bananas! Hehe.
