I love it when it rains lippies! One of my favorite brands, Maybelline has sent me 11 new amazing shades from the REBEL BOUQUET collection! Here's something not a lot of people know: These lippies are called Rebel Bloom in the United States and Rebel Bouquet in the UK, same as here in the Philippines. This new collection is more about bright, colorful floral shades and most of them will suit the Filipina skin tone.

Here's the 411 on the collection: The Rebel Bouquet collection is by Color Sensational which promises a burst of rebellious, bold color! Here's why Maybelline says you'll love it: These lipsticks are super-saturated pigments that give fresh-picked pastels a bright kick. Real moisturizing feel that is enriched with honey nectar (yes!), and comes in 11 amazing shades!

By simple looking at the lipsticks on their tubes, I already picked my favorite ones: REB 01, 02, 04, 05, and 08. Let's see the swatches later if my first picks are what I expected!

Maybelline has always created lovely lipstick formula and you can never go wrong with their price. When I am feeling a bit blue, I drop by a Maybelline counter and choose the loveliest shade to bring home with me -instant gratification because lipsticks really lift my mood!

I love this new collection because they are extremely hydrating and moisturizing on the lips! I don't like it when lipsticks dry my lips more and cause them to sting and flake. This however, is anything like that!

The Rebel Bouquet has a very creamy and soft texture that melts when it comes in contact with your lips. It glides on silkily like lip balm. The lipstick has a glossy and slightly sheen finish that doesn't have glitter or shimmer, and to me it has a slightly plumping effect on the lips.

I know they're described to be on the pastel side of things, but to me the colors are really vibrant and very much alive! I love them since I am a bright lipstick kind if girl.
I noticed that REB06 and REB07 are slightly a bit more balmy than the other shades. You need to apply extra layers to make the color look solid but the shades are pretty nonetheless. What I love about these lippies is that you can mix-and-match them to create a more customized shade! If you find them a bit too bright, you can top it off with REB06 and REB07 since they're the lightest in shade and they're slightly less pigmented than the rest.

Recently, since I have been suffering from dry lips every since little Henri was born, I have turned into a creamy lipstick fan. These lippies are very pigmented but you do need to go over your lips a couple of times for a smooth and fully opaque finish. These are very creamy, and they tend to bleed if you do not know how to apply it well so you have to be careful. Although once you have applied it and it has set on your lips, it stays put. Just remember to blot and reapply to ensure it won't run or bleed, or worse, end up on your teeth!
