My Friday night at Belle and Cat!
So, here's how my Friday night went down. I spent the late afternoon sitting on a comfortable lounge chair having a deluxe mani pedi at Belle & Cat's Nail and Wax Studio in Legaspi Village. Call me "grandma", but I would totally trade in a smokey and bottles of beer for some pampering!

One of the first thing I look for in a good establishment is customer service. I love that at B&C, they make you feel right at home the moment you step in their front door. I was greeted by B&C's very friendly staff. Their warm smiles are addicting! Friendly but very professional.
So, while I waited, I looked around their reception area where they had consigned items for sale. I'm so happy I was able to fight the urge to shop! I was so proud!
They have a lot of brands for sale, mostly local (Proudly Pinoy!).

I was seriously weighing getting a Nail Art for my nails so the nail techies can show off their skeelz. But I know that their hard work won't last that long because as soon as I get home, all I will be doing is wash the dishes and do laundry. So I'd have to save that for another appointment. Below is their menu for nail art (but not limited to) designs:
OH! They sell cute slippers too! You know, for those spur of the moment, emergency mani pedi sessions you sometimes have? But then you look down your feet and realize you're wearing closed shoes. Ugh, don't you just hate those? Don't worry because B&C's got you covered!
The lighting and the chosen color scheme of the room was perfect. It was nice and cozy and very warm (figuratively speaking). I can live on those seats!
Of course, they have a cute little private room for waxing. You don't want to have that brazillian wax out in the open, would you? Hahaha! I love that the little room is small but still quite a bit spacious. You won't feel like you were inside a box having a wax.
After snooping and scoping the place, I was finally asked to take a seat at the corner, where it will be my home for the next 3 hours... I was seated in one of the most comfortable seats ever! I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep!
We started by soaking my feet in warm suds. Goooood... I feel better already!
While I was getting my feet soaked, the Paraffin Wax was being warmed (photo below). I am so exited to try it, I've never tried this before so I am quite thrilled to lose my paraffin virginity!
My nail technician is all geared up and we're ready to begin. Yay! I will show you first about my mani pedi before I get into the Paraffin treatment. *giggle* I am so pink with barely contained glee!
This lady is about to have a really bad day scrubbing my cracked heels. But kudos to her, she did a really good job scrubbing away tough skin! *applause* My feet were smooth and baby pink!
After all the washing, scrubbing and buffing, they apply this AMAZING relaxing peppermint masque on your legs. They wrap your calves with plastic wrap and cover your leg with a steamy towel. You will have to keep them on for about 10-15 minutes.
While waiting for my masque to bake in the oven, I tried choosing a cute color -emphasis on the TRIED. They had so much lovely nail polish I wanted to apple them all!
And oh, look!! Shu Uemura nail polish!!
Going back to the hand and foot spa service, the treatments are more or less the same, except for the buffing (that one is just for your soles), the exfoliating and the masque were given to both my hands and my feet. And the results were just pure Happy Happy Joy Joy (Check out my bright and uber supple feet!)
My legs and my feet were the first to finish, which is only halfway to what comes next: PARAFFIN TREATMENTS!! So this is how one looks when one is too relaxed: Messy hair and a big smile.
So, after the spa, my hands and my feet were dipped and bathed in warm paraffin wax. They did a cleaning after removing the Paraffin and I swear, that treatment is just so addicting,
I think getting one a week is justifiable. Both my feet and my hands just felt so supple and velvety smooth, like there is an invisible layer of thick lotion without the greasy feeling though. And oh, did you know that this is Anne Hathaway's trade secret for having amazing hands?
I still haven't made up my mind about the nail polish color so I asked them to choose for me. Preferrably pink and black in honor of B&C's chic logo color scheme.
This is the first time I got to try Seche nail polish and I just love it. I love that their clear top coat has high shine and it completely dried my nails in under 7 minutes! So ideal!
And now the best part! The Paraffin treatment! And specially for this, I made a video on how my experience went down. FUN FUN!
