#fragrance

Finally I get to tell you about KENZO's cute and fun concept for helping one of the biggest non-profit organizations in the world. First of all, nothing has been tweaked in the fragrance, but after you hear about their new project on hot to donate to Every Mother Counts, you will view the fragrance in a whole new light.

Shu Qi for Flower by Kenzo
This classic, fresh and yet crisp scent has always reminded me of Clinique's Happy but with a more powdery floral smell. Something that always tops my list of fragrances! (Thank you Kenzo for the lovely, thoughtful gift!

Their new campaign has romance written all over it but without the mush. You'll know what I mean after you watch this video -then I I'll tell you all about the "Flower Wave".

The real story of this short film is really the story of a poppy.

I will quote what was written on the press kit that was given to me because I don't want to get this wrong -

"The poppy had decided. Colour would be its sole language. Be that as it may, Alberto Morillas created its scent. A perfume in its image: subtle and rare, sensual and luminous. Flowers first of all. Parma Violet, Bulgarian Rose, Cassie and wild Hawthorn compose a delicate and elegant score. Vanilla and uniquely intense white musk bring a velvety softness to this first accord. A fragrance with an intimate and captivating aura."

Now having explained that, let me tell you about the Kenzo Flower Wave program. Kenzo has launched an innovative program in support of Every Mother Counts – a non-profit organization established by humanitarian and former supermodel Christy Turlington Burns.

Every Mother Counts raises concerns about preventable deaths caused by pregnancy and childbirth. Kenzo has created a beautiful application on Facebook to spread word about the good work that Every Woman Counts is doing to make pregnancy and childbirth safer for all mothers.

Now the FUN Part! Let's all participate in this worldwide movement:

Called ‘Flower Wave’, the application has garnered support from all corners of the world. Users can submit a short video of themselves passing along a poppy, which will be added to the Flower Wave film (which already features a few celebrities). For each clip they receive, Kenzo donates a dollar to Every Mother Counts.

Now, how do you get a poppy? When you buy the Kenzo Flower fragrance, you get one poppy.

If you are not in the mood to make a video clip, there is a somewhat romantic alternative. Users can also send a ‘virtual poppy’ to their friends on facebook. You can watch the poppies “blooming” on an imbedded world map. Once again, for every poppy sent, Kenzo promises to donate a dollar to Every Woman Counts.

If your curiosity has been piqued, here’s the link to the application. Kenzo Flower Wave.

  5. My son's name is Kenzo and I'm very curious about this perfume. Haven't seen a poppy in real life, it looks beautiful based on the photo that you showed. About Shu Qi, she's a very beautiful, sexy and versatile actress :) I think she's really suited to this ad :)
