I am not much of a mascara person, but I am always in search for the perfect one. Ever since I started doing makeup 9 years ago, Maybelline was my mascara of choice, and then through the years I have tried others from high-end to drugstore. Up to this day, I continue my search for the best and yet affordable mascara since mascaras have a very short shelf life.
*Pro tip: If you are the only one who is using the mascara, you can keep it for 6 months, but if you are a makeup artist, 3 months should suffice, maximum of 4 months!

First, let me thank my friend Danny for this mascara! He brought it all the way from London! It's such a sweet thoughtful gift, so thanks Dan! I have been wanting to try this one by ModelCo., and now I get to.
ModelCo. has beautiful packaging. It's so chic, playing around with only 3 colors for their packaging: White, Hot Pink, and Black. I love that their stuff looks so sexy and yet very Pro.
The back of the mascara has a built-in mirror for applying product on your lashes, or for touch-ups. Warning: Never apply mascara in a moving vehicle. I learned that the hard way.
Their mascara wand is the no-frills kind of wand. No curves, no special bristles, or no flexible plastics. It's just the regular, generic mascara wand. Well, if the wand does have special features, it doesn't say on the box. But I think the secret is in the formula. It has some microscopic special fibres that latch on to your lash hairs hence making it longer and thicker.

I have really embarrassing lashes. They're hardly there so I am in desperate need of mascara. Although, I am a false lashes kind of girl which solves the problem easily, but really, where is the makeup-fun in that?
I curled my lashes from roots to tips and applied 3 coats of mascara (dried for 2 minutes in between coats):
LashXtend gave me the length and the volume and the length that my lashes badly needed, but it didn't hold the curl. My lashes were upright but it didn't have that "U" curl that I was hoping (or looking) for. But then again, all mascaras do that to my lashes because my hair can't hold the curl. Plus, they're really short and fine. #annoyed
Wearing it the whole day didn't make my eyes water which mascaras tend to do to my eyes. I guess the fumes are not that strong so I'm very happy about that. It didn't take long for the mascara to dry too which is also a plus for me.
What is your favorite mascara? I'm dying to know.

I like the effect. Not loving the price though. My favorite is Benefit They're real. But I got it because of a sale, so once I empty that I don't know I might just go back to my Maybelline Falsies, lol :D

DeleteMy favorite is the Maybelline One by One mascara. I love the formula and it really separates and volumize my lashes. :)

DeleteGawsh its soo expensive! I think Maybelline mascaras are more preferable than this given that they have the same effect. Thanks for the review tho. Currently I'm using Maybelline Colossal Mascara and I'm satisfied with it :)

ReplyDeletemy fave mascara is Avon Magnify Mascara! really its on my top list! its limited edition and its only 420php and got it on their introductory price of 299php sayang sana i hoard for another 3 tubes so it would last me a year =(
Good Lord.. i had the chance to own a Benefit Real , Essence, Collection and EOH Mascaras.. i love mascaras lately =)
