"Very Nice Pen Eyeliner" (Product Review and How-To)

by - Saturday, April 13, 2013

One of the best things about eyeliners is that you can do so much with your makeup with just a few strokes. You can easily transform any day time look with this single products so it's the one item I am constantly on the look out for in the market. I can't live without eyeliners.

I was only supposed to buy hair ties in SM but of course, I had to spend an extra hour in the cosmetics department looking around, and that's when I saw Peripera's Very Nice Pen Eyeliner.

I am always on the look out for good affordable eyeliner whether it be pencil, khol, liquid or gel. Cosmetic brands are always reformulating their stuff to make even better versions of their current stuff. So aside from BYS' ultra black eyeliner which I had the pleasure in getting to know just recently in a shoot, I came across Peripera's Very Nice Pen Eyeliner.

Since everything is written or printed in Korean, I relied on the photos. If you were in my shoes, wouldn't you think that it can be applied on the waterlines too? Well, I stood at the Peripera counter in SM for a full 10 minutes debating on whether I should get it and it give a go (since I've never seen such a product), the sales lady comes a long and confirmed my assumptions. It was all the push that I needed.

See? I don't think I just imagined that?

So without considering the sort-of hefty price tag (for a brand I've never really heard of a lot of before), I bought it.

The packaging, I must admit, is just so pretty (you know, looking all Korean and stuff...). Pigment is nice, and staying power is also good, as long as you don't apply it on your waterlines!

I guess it has it's own positive qualities, for one, it's true to its word that it is very black. In spite of the pointed tip, it's a little flexible so it applies thick. And it is long lasting. But K-Palette still takes the cake on this one.

I just don't like products that would print anything on the box just to sell them, or photos for that matter! In other words, I don't like false claims. But I guess, where would the fun be in that if not try all of those cosmetics, huh girls? *nudge nudge*

I did a tutorial on day to evening makeup and I used this "Very Nice Pen Liner" for the evening makeup, so I guess I will let you be the judge.

    1. The pigment and staying power of this Korean eyeliner I must say is top notch, it's just hard to control and it doesn't glide on the lid smoothly like other liners. It's grainy and you have to pull on your eye to make a straight line :) Thank you for dropping by!
