Get The Look: Jessy Mendiola's Preview Mag Cover Look

#getthelook

When I first saw Preview magazine's cover this month, April 2013, I immediately fell in love with the makeup look, specially that blue eyeliner. I think this look is very wearable whether to work or just window shopping at the mall. It's fresh and chic, definitely adds spunk to complete your overall look!

Probably the single most important makeup product to snag this look is the blue eyeliner. The shade that you choose to re-create this look is crucial. There are a lot of blue eyeliners out there now but I found one that is closest to the one on the cover.

Covergirl Liquilline Blast in Blue Boom, PhP 450.00
Long before I had to buy the Blue Boom for this tutorial, I have been using the black Liquilline for quite some time now. I discovered it early last year when I was in the US, I was desperate for a black eyeliner and Target was having a sale that time on cosmetics. They were practically giving it away at Buy One Take One for only $1.50! So I got a whole bunch of black liners for my use and for my clients and I have not switched yet.

The Blue Boom is just as good. The color is just so vibrant but it's not all pearly and shimmery. It was a solid blue color that was iridescent.

So, for this cover look, apply the pencil on your upper lashlines as you would with your regular black eyeliner and give it a bit more insurance for it to stay the whole day.

Everbilena Japan Eyeliner Coat, PhP 88.00
Apply a thin layer of this product on the eyeliner and you are guaranteed to be smudge proof the whole day!

With an easy applicator, it is mess free so you can bring it anywhere!

This is CG's Liquilline Blast in Blue Boom rubbed. The one on top is coated with the eyeliner coat, and the one below is without. I smudged both of them with equal amounts of pressure, and guess which prevailed? Hehehe... Such a fabulous find, with a whopping price of 88 bucks!

For this look, I used Aura Beam all over my face to achieve that "shine from within" glow before applying my foundation on the center part of my face. I also set my base with loose powder with light reflecting particles like Palgantong Loose Powder.

You need a whole lot of bronzer to achieve Jessy Mendiola's beautiful sun-kissed skin. Keep your brows neat, and apply a beautiful sheer golden-bronze lip color.
