Project Bright Skin Week: Get that soft, radiant glow with MAC Natural Radiance!
#projectbrightskinweek
I have been doing some research on a new skin primer that would make me look dewy instead of making me look matte. I have always loved the dewy look because it makes the skin look glowing and healthy instead of dry and dull.
Ignoring the reviews I read online about this product, I don't allow myself to get swayed by reviews unless I have tried and have seen it for myself before I do any judging. I am extremely surprised at how amazing this primer made my skin look with my foundation, in spite of the full coverage it has. It made my skin look radiant and flawless. I say surprised because I thought all primers were the same.
I tested it as well on a bride that I had the other day, I applied a thin layer of this product after I toned and moisturized her skin. I used airbrush on her and the result was just gorgeous.

Natural Radiance controls oil production, moisturizes the skin, and packed with antioxidants vitamins E and C. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects and repairs your skin, while Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is key to the production of collagen, a protein that aids in the growth of cells and blood vessels and gives skin its firmness and strength. Plus, it brightens the skin too!
This primer comes in a pump-type bottle that is perfectly measured to make one pump enough to cover the entire face. If you have an exceptionally smaller face, then you might want to use half a pump. I also use slightly less than a pump because I want to use only a thin layer of primer on my face.
I love that this gel primer is lightweight, in between a mousse and cream. It doesn't have the same texture as other primers which feels velvet-y. This product is noticeable even under foundation, it's great for people who are afraid of shimmery products.
I applied 1 pump of the Prep+Prime on moisturized skin and applied my foundation on top. It worked really well with my non-MAC foundation. This product is designed to extend the longevity of your face makeup, blurring the fine lines and pores making the skin look absolutely glowing and bright. Don't you just love products that can make your skin look so perfect that it actually is? *wink* We've all been there.
You can't see it in the photo but this pinkish primer has a faint hint of shimmer to give a soft glow on the skin.
Here's me with MAC's Prep+Prime on my face with Happy Skin's SS Créme. I used a silicone-free foundation just to see how well it would work with the primer. You don't have to use the same type of foundation for this primer. Basically, you an use any foundation that you fancy.
You can see that my skin is blurred. My dark spots are covered nicely, and so are the pores on my nose. Usually I crease a lot on the under eye area, but with MAC's Prep+Prime, it filled in those areas nicely.
I set my foundation with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium (review will be posted soon) with a powder brush instead of a sponge to make it look natural. I am amazed how flawless I look! In this photo, it still looks a little thick because I have just applied the powder, but after wearing it for an hour when the makeup was mixed with sweat and oil, the more it looked natural.
This skin has a lot of skin benefits that help protect and correct your skin with prolonged use. Its skin beautifying effects is not temporary but the antioxidants found in this product benefit your skin after using it for a while. I most specially like the Vitamin C that's in it because that makes your skin bright and blemish free.
