I love the black, sleek casing these lipsticks are housed in. Usually, Maybelline's lippies have a fun and playful packaging, but this being their "pro" runway line, they stuck with glossy black with jewel toned accents that complement each of the lipstick shades.



I received three shades from Maybelline. "Cherry on Top" and "Pinkalicious" both belong to the cool tones, while the "Orange Icon" belongs to the warm tone family. So I get to review both tones! Yay!


I swatched the lipstick directly on my lips rather than swatching them on my hand. No particular reason, I just thought that one can see the effect better on someone's lips rather than the back of someone's hand.

The shade "Orange Icon" is a reddish orange lippie with a gel-like finish. I had to layer it on several times to get the intensity that I wanted. Even though you have to layer it, it's not sheer either. The finish is just gel-like.


It complemented my skin tone rather well, again, I never really had a problem with lippies, I wear whatever shade I want because I try to make it work! I don't want to limit myself to just warm-toned lipsticks.


This is an unusual kind of pink lipstick. It's more on the red side, it's not exactly bright nor is it dull either. It's somewhere in between.


The blue undertone is kind of prominent with this shade making it look more berry than pink. It's a fun shade which is definitely versatile whether for day or for night use.


I think it's pretty obvious which shade is my favorite. I instantly fell in love with this shade. I love red lipstick and I can't get enough of them. Bright colored lipsticks uplifts my mood, and it gives me confidence that I can't describe.

I love makeup and fragrances that look and smell seductive, powerful, and classy. The red shade never fails to make me feel all of those things.

NEUTRAL

• Although it's not transfer proof, it leave you with a lot of color even after you eat and drink!
• Some of the shades need to be layered to get full color. But that's ok because some people like the tinted look.
