TMM Fashion: Street-Smart Dressing at the Rustan's Color It Summer Event

So last Monday was Rustan's Color It Summer event at Raffles and I just had a fabulous time! In the invitation, they told us to come in summer-ready clothes, something comfortable, and yet dressy I guess. Rummaging through my closet, this is what I came up with!
I just love wearing harem pants because I think it has a lot of character/personality. At least for me. I also think that tie-dye shirts are just so fresh and cool to the eyes when it's in pastel colors. And so, I just put the two together, and this is my summer style for the event: Street Smart Casual.
You may notice that in the following photos I am not wearing my necklace anymore because I just didn't like how it looked. I don't know, I just felt like it was too much... Oh and it made me look like I had no neck. Ha! But I love that neckpiece. That one is from, where else, Forever 21. I'll wear that again in another outfit post.
I love Street Style fashion because it is a type of fashion that displays the personality of the person who is wearing the clothes (sometimes, still a little controversial to others). There are still a lot of fashion pieces out there that is trending but I don't wear them because I love dressing up according to my body type.
Like for example, the skater skirt. Not that I have anything against them, I just don't buy them because I know it won't look good on me. I don't have a waist, and a cut like that will emphasize my midsection even more.
Forgive me, I still had some coffee in my mouth when hubby just started snapping photos. LOL
My sunnies are my hubby's. He got them from Adora a few years ago and they're his favorite pair. But I am the one who uses them now. Yay!
Oh! That's a Tall Decaf Non-Fat Latte w/ 1 Splenda from Starbucks. Yes, it's my favorite drink: Uncomplicated and simple. But my personality and fashion style is anything but. Hahaha!
I am so addicted to white nail polish this summer. Whether it's flat white, matte, cream, off white or pearlized, I love them all! You might see me wearing this shade this whole summer!
I don't know why I have a Zoolander face in this photo. LOL A cross between a funny face and a Zoolander smile. Ha! I am not particularly fond of this pose but it was the only clear shot we had since we had to just sneak that photo! We did a drive-by kind of shot in front of that office window! Hahaha!

It was a pool-party themed event at Raffles Hotel in Makati.
A delicious barbecue buffet was set-up for the guests...
And all you can eat grilled food! YUM.
So I saw my friends and my sister at the event, all of them wearing colors of summer and I just love it! Colors you'll see me wear! I am envious of Dina's skirt and my sister's floral jumpsuit.

The fashion show was upbeat and I was really the perfect kick-off to a rockin' summer! Colorful hues and light textures and fabrics ready to beat the heat!

MINT! I am just loving this color this season: mint. It's every where and I love how soothing it is to the eyes. My sister and I bought a pair of sunglasses that had mint as an accent. I'll show them to you one time!
I am lusting over this necklace too. Perfect not only for summer! It comes in gold too! This one is from their fine jewelry collection.
