#spotlight

Ok, Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair just became my cocaine. I won't be able to live without it now, it truly works and I have photos to prove it! In just 60 days, my skin is refreshed, renewed, and was free from acne scars!

So, Estee Lauder's new skin care line includes the Micro Essence Skin Activating Treatment Lotion and the Advanced Night Repair. You can do one without the other, but as I was reading up on other reviews online about this product, it works even faster if you use the two together. So that's what I did.

To tell you the truth, I have never used any skin care from Estee Lauder so I am quite excited about using this. 1 week prior to usage, I stopped all skin care treatment from other brands, and just used Cetaphil as moisturizer so that  my skin will sort-of reset and there won't be contrast in results. I started on a Monday 60 days ago, using the Micro Essence Lotion as a toner, and the Night Repair as my night moisturizer. I maintained using my eye cream though which is from H2O+.

I will start with the Miscro Essence Lotion:

Estee Lauder Micro Essence Skin Activating Treatment Lotion 150ml, PhP 4,500
EL's Micro Essence Skin Activating Treatment Lotion is a first-of-its-kind essence lotion that is made to strengthen the foundation of the skin to give the skin a youthful, translucent glow that shines from within. This is their promise, and I will let you be the judge when you see the before and after photos later.

EL's scientists created this NEW exclusive Micro-Nutrient Bio-Ferment concentrate that helps "reset" the skin. These ingredients are pure and potent, so it helps activate pro-youth that empower's the skin's resistance and reverse the visible signs of ageing.

The bottle is actually very nice. It is made from thick glass so the bottle doesn't heat up fast so it preserves the essence that makes up the lotion. Yes, some thin bottles do heat up the product so sometimes you see the inside fog up. That's actually not good. But moving on...

You only need a little, on a cotton pad (have I mentioned that Nippon's cotton pads are just TDF? They're my HG in cotton pads). Just use like you would a regular toner. I use this twice a day, once in the morning after cleansing, and once at night before the Advanced Night Repair treatment.

I took this photo a few weeks into the regimen, so you may notice my skin starting to clear up. You'll see more results later. What's even better is that this lotion is developed, tested, and proven for Asian Skin. How many international brands can say that about their skin care? This product was religiously tested on Asian women IN Asia so it caters to our weird and erratic climate.

Now, with Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Treatment is made to strengthen and repair the skin, and restore the skin to its best.

According to Estee Lauder's website, for best results, this treatment is best used with the Treatment Lotion so that's what I did.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II 50ml, PhP 5,300

With the help of the Micro Essence Lotion, it aids in helping the repair serum penetrate skin faster and deeper. It's basically a fancy shmancy way of saying that it speeds up the delivery and absorption system to your skin. But it works just fine on its own as well. I've tried it too.

This breakthrough in treatment regimen is effective and makes skin feel smoother, stronger, and hydrated. The skin looks healthy and has a healthy bounce to it, and not look tired or saggy.

I have no idea why treatment bottles in skin care come with a dropper. I guess it's to preserve the composition of the product without it being contaminated when in contact with skin? I don't know. I just roll with it.

So, I took these babies for a test drive for 2 months. I wanted to see the full effect of the products which usually show after 2 weeks, but I wanted to use it for a while because truth be told, I was addicted. Good thing I always take photos of the products before I use them! LOL

As you can see on the photos below, I started Day 1 with my skin full of battle scars from Acne. I usually get breakouts when that time of the month comes so I'm sure most of you can relate.

On the 2-month mark, I took a photo of myself with the same lighting conditions, same lens, same time of day and even the same hair-do. You can see visible results that my skin is clearer, my pores smaller and more fine specially on the nose area! You can see on my photo from day 1 that I had black heads on my nose and they were gone on day 60.

My skin no longer look dull, splotchy, and lifeless, you can see that my skin is absolutely radiant. Not only does it look it, it feels like it too! Sorry I don't look happy on the photo, I am trying to look serious hahaha!

Please, PLEASE check out my baggies! They have magically disappeared! How's that for skin care that works? Although I won't recommend this skin care on teens, or even women below 30, but it's always good to start a good and healthy skin care regimen to preserve your skin's youth and glow.

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS:
Length of usage before review: 2 months

PROS
  • Both: As early as 2 days, skin is more radiant and plump.
  • Lotion: Skin does not feel tight after use.
  • Both: Skin is hydrated.
  • Both Results are permanent, you will just have to take extra care for your skin.
  • Both: Fine lines are plumped, and less visible.
  • N.Repair: Pores are fine, tight, and less visible!
  • Lotion: Removes blackheads and white heads.
  • Both: Skin is glowing after each use.
  • Both: Non-drying.
  • Both: Skin appears transparent and bright!
  • Both: Speeds up recovery of pimples.
  • Both: Economical! A little goes a long way.
  • Lotion: Specially formulated for Asian skin!
  • Lotion: Doesn't completely strip off the oils from your face.
  • N.Repair: Skin is supple in the morning, perfect for makeup!
  • N.Repair: Plumps the under eye area.
  • Both: May be used each on their own.
  • Both: Bumps on my skin have subsided and remained flat even after I stopped using the products for 3 days!

NEUTRAL
  • Pricey. But very economical and the investment is totally worth it.

CONS

How I use it: For the lotion, pour some on a cotton pad and apply on your face with a light hand. Let is set for about a minute. Drop a quarter size amount of Night Repair on your fingers and apply on your face and neck and massage in upward motions.

    1. I swear by it! Although I don't know why some reviews online say it's only hype and it doesn't work.. Weird. I'm thankful for this skin care kasi my ugly spots disappeared, and the other older and darker ones lightened! ♥
