Bucket List: Day 15

Let's talk bucket lists. Today's prompt:

What is on your bucket list? How can you work towards achieving one item on your bucket list?

To be honest, I have a lot on my bucket list. But if I were to choose just one, it would be to visit Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I remember falling in love with the place when my sister shared photos from their trip. It was just breathtaking.

Forget Europe, forget Asia. This is where I want to go. There is nothing I can say to describe the place, so allow me to show you photos from Google:

Whether you go in the summer or winter time, it's equally breathtaking. I never knew that I was a nature kind of girl. You would think that I would go back to Europe or something very artsy. But when I saw those photos from my sister, I knew it got bumped up to the top of my bucket list. Whenever I look at these photos saved in my phone's gallery, it feels like I can breathe there.

I know that the only way to achieve going to Jackson Hole in Wyoming is to save a whole lot of money. My sister said that there are a bunch of other resorts in Jackson Hole, but if I were going to dream anyway, I'm going to dream big! Ideally, the place to stay is at the Amangani Resort in Wyoming where they stayed. It will most probably take years of saving up, and maybe when after the kids start working to be able to go. That gives me about 20 years to save up. But I am not picky, if my savings cannot afford Amngani, I will gladly stay in the other inns available in the area just to be able to visit Jackson Hole.

I have already started my travel fund, for me and Raul. And I intend to blow it all away in a kickass retirement vacation like this one. It's funny how reflecting about this calms me. Even though that it's currently a pipe dream for now, it still grounds me somehow because it is something I can take control of to achieve it. It gives me something to look forward to.

What is in your bucket list?
