Canmake Cream Eyeshadow in Bronze 05

by - Monday, May 13, 2013

I love cream eyeshadows. Aside from them being extremely blend-able, they are very handy and they don't take up so much space in your cosmetic case for quick makeup changes from day to night. I recently received this cream eyeshadow from Canmake, and the shade is just gorgeous.

Since their packaging doesn't come with english translation, I am assuming that it is indeed a cream eyeshadow. So I am flying blind with this one.

I love that it is really creamy and blend-able. The shimmer is also not that glittery so it's perfect for a sultry smokey look.

It's long wearing and the product doesn't crease after hours of wear. I used it as a base for a nice smokey eye look.

To achieve this monochromatic smokey look is easy! Just follow these steps:

1. Apply your base shadow. I used Canmake's Bronze 05 cream eyeshadow from the lashlines up to the crease.
2. Top the inner half of your lid with a monochromatic eyeshadow that is more or less in the same color family of your base shadow. I chose Virginia Olsen's Mineral Eyeshadow in Chameleon.
3. Blend the edges of your base eyshadow while highlighting your brow bones with a nice monochromatic eyeshadow. I used Virginia Olsen's Mineral Eyeshadow in Crescent Moon.
4. Use a black khol eyeliner and line your upper lashes.
5. Blend the khol liner with a pointed blending brush. Dip the brush in the same secondary shadow shade to blend the colors fluidly and smoothly.
6. With the same blending brush, line your lower lashes making it thick on the outer corner, and thinner as you go to the inner corner or your eye.
7. Line your water lines with a black eyeliner for a stronger, and more dramatic look.
8. Apply falsies (like me!), or curl and apply layers of mascara!

I love everything about Canmake's cream eyeshadow, and it plays really well with other eyeshadows which is what is best about this product. It doesn't cause the other shadows to react with one another so they blend really smoothly!
