Clean Your Brushes The Professional Way (Product Feature and Giveaway!)
As I've mentioned in one of my previous blogs, I am pretty anal about cleaning my brushes. I am pretty choosy with brush cleaners so it took a while until my brushes and I have found our destiny. I have a couple of brush cleaners that I loved, and this is one of the top 5.
My good friend Angelo Falconi III, professional makeup artist and L'Oreal Professionnel Ambassador, sent me his newly developed brush cleaner a couple of months ago (I know, I know... Backlog... Sorry Angelo!) to try and I was just amazed of its effectiveness!
I didn't want to open these babies until I have finished all my other brush cleaners (I used to use Parian Spirit). Let me tell you, now that I've tried Angelo's brush cleaner, I have confirmed that it is definitely part of my top list of brush cleaners that I would recommend..
It smells of fresh lemons (which I absolutely love), every time I use this to clean my brushes, I always get compliments from my clients how clean my brushes smell.
It has a watery consistency, and is not oily. It does have a little oil in it but the brush hairs don't feel oily at all after you clean them.
They come in two variations, regular strength (atomizer type) and extra strength (pour bottle type).
Angelo's brush cleaners are proudly made in the Philippines. The formula doesn't damage the hair of your brushes leaving them soft and non-oily. I have tried several cleaners that leave the brushes oily and when you use the brushes, they damage the eye shadows.
To use, shake well and simply pour the solution to a clear glass. Just enough to cover the hair of the brushes you are going to clean.
Using the extra strength cleaner (recommended for removing lipsticks, cream products, and liquid foundations from your brushes), swirl the brush around until no traces of product is visible on your brush.
Press the hairs in between paper towels and remove remaining product and to dry it.
I cleaned my other brushes and discarded the solution. Now with the regular strength cleaner, I poured it in a glass rather than using the atomizer and swirled the eye shadow brush. The solution really works fast too!
Then dry the brush. So clean!
And that's not even the best part yet...

Hey Sabs! thanks so much! at one point i thought you did not like my formula but you gave it a jaw dropping blog of the product and the only one who revealed the most important secret of this formula - an oily free brushes! IN formulating this, the cleaning, disinfecting and deodorizing were the easiest to get approval from me when this was being created. Numerous samples were given to perfect CONDITIONING so that brushes remain soft and goes back to its "almost new look and feel!" I want the brushes to be well conditioned - soft but oil free! That took a year of samples to perfect it! And since it was difficult to perfect, i finally succumbed to my chemist's plea - to create two variants since Powder and Cream are miles apart! True enough, we use synthetic for any cream based and natural hair for powder, right? She's right! So that's the story of the two variants! :) A must have for all Make up Artists who are so particular in cleaning and maintaining their makeup brushes! Your brushes will NEVER have yeast even if you keep it long! Thank you so much! You even posted it on my second wedding anniversary day! What a great gift! Thanks!!

Hahaha! I can definitely relate to that... I get lazy too sometimes but I need to clean my brushes everyday because I use my brushes on lots of faces a day :) But this cleaner cleans fast and well so I give it a 2 thumbs up!

DeleteI need this one for spot cleaning and deep cleansing my brushes! The lazy girl in me needs this! Washing makeup brushes with baby shampoo and water does clean my makeup brushes but it get tedious when I have a bunch to clean. I'm sure Angelo Falconi III Professional Makeup Brush Cleaner will solve my problem right away :)
