I used to take Nivea Sun Cooling Mist SPF 50, but when it gets in your eyes, it hurts like the devil.

When you are at the pool or at the beach, it's kind of hard to avoid getting some product in your eye so after that one can, I looked for alternative sunblocks for me to use. Specially now that I have kids.

Cetaphil is a family-friendly sunblock

I always bring Cetaphil Daylong sun products whenever we travel with the kids. Because it's hypoallergenic and it is fragrance free, it's really great for travel so you do not have to bring a separate sunblock for kids and for the adults. Did I mention that their sunblocks are water-based and not alcohol based? They may be a bit more expensive than the average sunblock, but kids can use it too.

Since all of their sunblocks are hypoallergenic, you can use any product on the face as well. It's very versatile.
The characteristic I love most about this brand is the consistency. The Cetaphil Daylong sunblock has a very runny and milky consistency (except the gel variant) that makes it easy for the kids to spread on themselves. My 4 year old can pretty much apply this on himself. It does not sting as well when it gets in their eyes by mistake.
If you will be doing a lot of sunbathing and some tanning sessions with your gals, I suggest this collection from Ocean Potion. They have a lot of options and their stuff smells great. Before there was Cetaphil, I usually go for VMV Hypoallergenics but I just think their sport SPF 70 is just too expensive for me now.

Banana Boat was also an option for me when buying sunblock before a trip, but I found that Banana Boat is a bit too fragrant and too thick for me now a days.
Whenever I am at the beach with my sister and my cousins, I always whip out my Ocean Potion Instant Dry Mist. I love how easy it is to apply because the consistency is very fine and is not at all sticky.

I love using the Xtreme Tanning Xcellerator because aside from you getting a good golden tan, your skin does not burn even though you stay under the sun the whole day. But always wear sunblock underneath! Do not use the Xcellerator without sunblock.

Of course, I reapply sunblock every hour to avoid burning the skin! After being out in the sun the whole day, I use the after sun aloe lotion after taking a bath, and it really cools the skin. Even though you did not burn my skin, I still love using this lotion to heal the skin from sun damage.
For everyday use, I use Belo Skin Expert. I love how their sunblocks are non-sticky, and can be used everyday. It feels very light on the skin and it's non-greasy too!

I hardly wear any makeup everyday, so I use the SPF 40 for the face, and the Ultra Gentle Sheer Spray on my body.
I always bring this as a spare for some of my friends just in case they are wary about using Ocean Potion because of the smell. Belo SunExpert products are hypoallergenic so for my family members and friends who have sensitive skin can use this. I would share the Cetaphil Daylong sun products but those are a little expensive. With Belo, they have very affordable products!
