The camera's max lens aperture size on the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.0 is about average for a standard smartpone. This isn't a huge deciding factor, but some photo enthusiasts may prefer larger apertures for shallow depth of field photos, or fast action shots.

When it comes to the overall look of the phone, I was truly very happy with it because it's something I would have picked out myself. Plus, it being gold, I am just elated. The phone's body is 143.70 mm high, 71.50 mm wide, and has a depth of 10.50 mm, 16% thicker than the average smartphone released in the last year.

With a weight of 140 grams, its weight is about average for a smartphone of its size. I also like how thin it is because it's not bulky in my purse. With me having two phones now, I can't have heavy, bulky phone in my purse.

This camera takes pretty amazing photos. I love how clear the photos are and one need not edit the photos to brighten them. I don't like camera phones that take dark photos. Dim light conditions (which are common for night events), can make capturing and focusing moments difficult when using a smartphone camera. Asus PixelMaster's Low Light Mode plus laser auto focus system makes lost moments a thing of the past. Whoa.

The phone comes with the standard charger (220v) that you can detach and attach the cable to any other USB hub, which is always convenient, and earphones.
The earphones have a flexi-tip that lets the speaker stay in place in your ear but the body moves around when you do, so they don't easily fall off your ear when you move about. Great for working out.
I am loving the very sleek design of this phone. To be quite honest, it reminds me a lot of the first ever iPhone that was released. The one with the rounded body -that was the coolest looking phone for me, ever. Until now, I love how the curved back of the phone makes it look a bit feminine (oh, and did I mention the fact that it's GOLD?)

The back cover comes off and this is where you will put your SIM Card. Oh, by the way, I haven't read the instructions or the manual of the phone so imagine my surprise when I found out that it's DUAL SIM compatible! I have never owned a phone that is DUAL SIM compatible before so I had to wait another day before I could use this phone because I had to get two new SIM cards.

Being a blogger and a business owner, I had to bite the bullet and accept the fact that I need a separate phone for my business and for clients of my blog. It's so hard when all the data gets mixed with your personal messages -it's so hard to sort through them when you are looking for something important. Plus, it gets tiring to switch from one social media account to another just so I could manage my pages!
Instead of using my own existing number for this phone, I bought two new SIM cards for business use. I chose two of the country's leading service providers: Globe and SMART. Line ONE goes on top and line TWO goes at the second slot at the bottom. The size of the SIM cards are Micro, not NANO.
BATTERY

Its battery is lithium polymer, and in terms of battery capacity, which is the actual electric charge the battery holds, this phone can hold 2,070 mAh, a below average battery capacity for a smartphone released in 2015.

I left the house with only 47% in my phone. I was making calls, sending texts, and surfed on the phone all day and when I got home after about 6 hours, I still had 12% charge. Oh! And did I mention that my phone was even on 50% brightness the whole day!

I noticed that even though the phone is charging, the phone doesn't heat up. Unlike most smartphones that I have used in the past, the phone always feels so hot after charging.
This is always the exciting part. The first time you open your phone is always the best part in buying a new phone. I think it's the setting up is the most fun part.
Setting up the Asus Zenfone 2 Lazer 5.0 is pretty simple. It took me about 15 minutes because I didn't want to make a mistake. It could go a lot faster if you are used to Androids. I read everything and anything that popped up. It's pretty idiot proof though. You just have to have internet connection so that it'll be easier to do some the syncing, specially with Google.
I cannot live without my favorite social media apps and downloading them from the PlayStore is very easy. And I also noticed that downloading apps (and updating them) using an Android OS is a lot faster than the iPhone. I do not know why.

You can pretty much customize the look of your screen. You can add widgets which the phone comes with standard ones. I like having my screen look as simple as possible so I am not scrambling looking for my frequently used apps.
You can view opened apps with a click of a button and you can easily close each one or all at the same time too. It's easy to multitask with this phone because with a simple push of a button on its just above the "chin" of the unit. And with the sample button, you can just clear all windows so that you can close all apps that are eating up your battery.
My calendar can get pretty full with events (as you can see) so having it on one side of the screen is really helpful so I won't forget. The Laser phone comes with this calendar widget that you can place on one of the windows of your front home screen. This for me, is the best feature yet.
EMOTICONS! I cannot live without my emoticons and installing them is so easy with the Laser phone. You can easily download so much more from the PlayStore! I found that the PlayStore really has more accessible apps that you can download.
The Zenfone 2 Laser 5.0 is said to house a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 system on a chip. Its CPU runs at 1.2 GHz, which is about typical for clock speed. I don't know any of that techie terminology, but in layman's terms, it's pretty fast for me too. It doesn't lag, and it's really quite responsive. It takes a few seconds to restart, and no waiting time when you have just switched on your phone.

As a blogger, I would say that I would give this phone an 8.5/10. It takes good and clear photos and it has a good antenna that will give you great service. On areas I do not normally have signal with my iPhone, I do with the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser.

I love how easy it is to switch from one SIM to the next. I thought it was going to be a pain to figure out how to use one or the other, but as it turns out, it's pretty easy. Silicone cases and screen protectors are already available in cellphone accessories stalls around so you won't have to worry about not being able to find one because this model is still very new.
