Benefit calls this a “BB Cream’ for your eyes that has an EnviroDefend complex which is known to help shield and protect your eyelids against sun, smoke and pollutants. But that’s not all, this also preps lids with a soft light beige with a yellow undertone shade which brightens your lids up and helps extend the wear of your eyeshadows and eyeliners so they don’t crease, fade, or smear easily.

I’ve worn Air Patrol with both cream eyeshadows and powder ones and during those times it was a fairly hot, humid day as usual -and on both occasions it did very well in keeping my shadow from creasing and keeping the color from fading the whole day.

I feel that Benefit Air Patrol is a really good staple product to have in one's makeup kit. You can use it alone, which I do because I hardly wear any eyeshadow. But it's really fantastic to use with eyeliners because it is great for proving a really smooth surface for eyeliner application. When I was unscrewing the cap off, I accidentally clicked the bottom so I was actually worried that I over clicked it and spilled product on the cap but as it turned out, it takes several clicks for the initial product comes out.

Before seeing the actual product swatch on my hand, I thought that this formula would have a shimmery finish as the shade looks slightly sheen and shiny. But once blended it on my lids, it had zero shimmer or did it have a shiny oily finish but actually very velvet-y matte.
To be quite honest, I was skeptical about the consistency at first. It was a little bit runny, and thin consistency but it's really creamy when you really take a closer look. It reminds me of Happy Skin's InstaBeauty Blur Cream but not exactly like that.

I clicked way too much product out of the tube so I ended up with too much. I blended it out on both lids and I rather enjoyed the cotton-y, lighter texture. It sets to soft, velvety finish and plays nicely with both powder and cream eyeshadows on top without caking it. Their claim that the cushion tip is softer than your pinkie is totally true. It actually feels weird when you squeeze it because I wanna bite it. Hahaha!'

I didn't use the applicator though to spread the product on my lids. I put a little on my ring finger and spread it on my lids.
In my opinion, it really does do an excellent job in prepping the skin around the eye area. The shade looks really natural and I think even morenas can wear it because it blends out evenly. The tiny visible veins on my lids are concealed, and my overall eye look is brighter and more awake which is really great for going bare -no need for eyeshadows!
