Thoughts on Elizabeth Arden's Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in Peony
#liptalktuesdays
I don't know what it is about pink lipsticks now a days that I find myself reaching for them lately when I put my game face on. I have been feeling a little bit girly lately, and that's ok! So, i received this beautiful Elizabeth Arden lipstick from my best friend's bridal shower giveaway, that was sponsored by Elizabeth Arden.
I know, I have the best sponsors! Anyway, I just fell in love with this beautiful pink shade that is incorporated with golden iridescence. The lipstick shade itself blue undertones. Depending on the level of my acidity, the brightness of the shade sometimes changes -only slight though. I love the golden iridescence that this lipstick has because it makes the lips look three dimensional, specially when the light hits it.

Here is a brief write-up from Elizabeth Arden's website about this lipstick:
This lustrous, color-saturated lipstick is infused with Volulip™ and delivers brilliant, moisturizing, color-lasting comfort shine, for plumper, fuller-looking lips. Lips look fuller, more defined ... and feel youthfully smooth, soft and nourished. Ceramide Triple Complex helps strengthen and re-texturize skin's appearance, holding in vital skin-plumping moisture. Lips look fuller and younger. Contours seem more defined.
Features and Benefits:
- Ultra-brilliant color, radiant shine, and lips feel moisturized for up to 20 hours.
- Infused with Volulip™, a new ultra-plumping agent so that lips appear fuller and more plumped.
- Reduces appearance of vertical lines on lips, and soothes, protects, and preserves lips.
- Plumps lips with moisture-enriched pigments.
And here is my experience with Elizabeth Arden's Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in Peony. It very much suits my fair, cool skin tone with just a single swipe. Although I find myself layering more on when my lips are dry and flaky. I have to exfoliate and moisturize my lips because the fine shimmers tend to dry up my lips.
It is slightly drying but nothing a good old petroleum jelly won't fix. Apply petroleum first before starting with your makeup, and remove excess with a wash cloth before applying your lipstick. Layering on lipstick on top of petroleum jelly will just make it slip right off.
Rating this lipstick was a little bit tough because I really couldn't really think of any CONS on me. I thought of all the traits that other women might not like and these are the only ones I came up with.
