Collection's unbelievable P299 price tag on their Lasting Perfection Concealer deems impressive!
#eyespymondays
When I was younger, I was not an avid concealer user because I honestly didn't really need it. But lately, even when I get a full night's sleep, I find my baggies just slightly a little bit tired-looking. Concealer gives me that "perked-up" look. On most days though my baggies are fine but I add a thin layer under my eyes just to give that extra bright look.
As a makeup artist and a beauty blogger, I have found myself using a lot of concealer lately believeing that nothing makes you look tired and older than dark shadows under your eyes. You don't want that in a makeup artist do you? LOL
According to Collection Cosmetics Philippines' website, the Lasting Perfection Concealer is:
The consistency of the concealer is non-runny. It's not too creamy either so it's very easy to apply with your ring finger. I never used to like cream-powder finishes but this one sets to a powdery finish that looks very natural (no caking if you do not use too much!). And if you layer too much, it will cake up and look very thick one the fine lines making your eyes look heavier.
This concealer's coverage is very good that you won't require to do some building over the area that needs concealing. I don’t really have much acne issues, but on days that I do break out, there usually covered with foundation. But I assume that when your pimples are very prominent, this concealer is very opaque, I assume it would cover them pretty well. Just take a look at the spread swatch below. It has a velvet-smooth finish.
In my eyebag- case, I find it very pigmented and it effectively covers any very dark spots on my face in just a single dab. I dot tiny amount of the product (smaller than the actual blemish) with its velour tip applicator and blend it with my finger using light dabbing motion. For my baggies, I apply the concealer on-top of my foundation (because sometimes your foundation may be enough to cover the dark under your eyes).
I dot a few under my eyes and I lightly pat with my ring finger. I prefer using my fingers with concealer because it heats up the product making it "sink" and melt into the skin, blending it really well with the rest of your face.
The coverage managed to stay put under my eyes even with the sweat, good for seven to eight hours on me which is pretty good, just as good as other high-end brands' quality which indeed deems impressive. I didn't really need to wear it for 16 hours though, I'm sure it will last longer than eight hours if you need it to. In my experience of using it, it didn't crease for me as long as you apply it as thin as you possibly can. It also doesn’t settle into the fine lines!
- Ultimate wear concealer conceals flaws, imperfections and blemishes for up to 16 hours.
- Transfer proof and water resistant for full and long lasting coverage.
- Provides beautiful, shine-free, blemish-free skin for every waking hour.

The packaging is very plain, there’s nothing too attractive or fancy shmancy about it and for me it’s a winner because it looks very pro and it looks like it really works. Some concealers with the same price range has fancy packaging but they don't do anything for you.
As I have mentioned earlier, there are only three shades available in the Philippines, so if you manage to find a match (lucky you!), I think this is definitely worth taking a look at and trying them out. I believe that concealers are very personalized, and finding he right shade is crucial because they need to be matched according to different skin types, tones, and shades. Although, if you're just looking for something high-coverage and with a thick but manageable texture, this would be a wonderful alternative. The consistency of the concealer is non-runny. However, I am an avid eye cream user so maybe that helps too. So I advise using a hydrating eye cream at night and in the morning so it wouldn't flake up or cake up your makeup in that area.
Overall, this product works really well for me. I’ve stocked an extra tube of it because I’ve already finished half the first tube I received – I would’ve rated it perfect on my PROS and CONS if only the shade range wasn’t too narrow.

I love this concealer. I have ridiculously dark circles under my eyes and this covers it well. I have been using this for the last year and although i havent tried wearing it for 16hrs straight, i know it lasts really long - more than 8hrs for me. :)
ReplyDeleteone of my fave, bought this one, thank you for great review!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm usually skeptical when it comes to affordable concealers but it seems like this one has a lot of give in it. :)

ReplyDeleteSeems like this is a winner product!! The current concealer I use is just for brightening my dark undereye circles.. not really for acne. :)
