Channeling my inner girly-girl with Estée Lauder's Crystal Blush Lippie!

#liptalktuesdays

I can never own too many lipsticks. So when I received this lippie from Estée Lauder from the Pure Color Crystal Baby Collection (and not to mention that adorable name "Crystal Blush"!), I instantly fell in love with it! I remember thinking, ooh this is gonna be good. I had to wait until I took photos of it before I was able to use it though, but it was worth the wait!

I was getting tired of pink lippies with a purplish under tone and was looking to replace it for a while, and what do you know -if you want something bad enough and your heart is pure, wondrous things can happen! Thank you for sending this Estée Lauder! Hee hee hee!

Estée Lauder's lipsticks have that classic lipstick smell to them that isn't too fragrant (well, for me at least!). My mom used to have a ton which I always remember sniffing when I was little, so when I smelled this classic fragrance of the lipstick, it brought back memories. These lipsticks still totally smell like that which I love.
The Crystal Color lipsticks are pegged to be their less intense line of lipsticks. I was afraid that it might be too frosted judging by the look of the tube's packaging at the bottom of the lipstick, Crystal Blush turned out to be anything but frosted: a creamy, beautiful neutral beige type color with a slight coral undertone. It's beige enough that it looks less coral on, and more pink. It's a great everyday, flirty, and bubbly color.
The formula and the texture is soft and has a soft creamy sheen to it. If you can't visualize it, it's like the Lustre finish by MAC if that helps you, and less creamy and potent than Guerlain's Rouge G de Guerlain. I will post a review on that one soon.
I really do like this lipstick, although I have never heard of this collection and shade before receiving it (it being from the Summer 2014 collection) it lived up to my expectations, and thinking of buying more Estée Lauder lipsticks for my brides in the future. I believe their lipsticks are more "real" than professional ones that seem to be popular now a days.

Estée Lauder lipsticks may have a limited color range but these shades are the more popular and wearable ones. They may not have yellows, blacks, blues, and greens, but guaranteed that every color in their color palette are all wearable but whatever the skin tone and color.
I am very happy with this lipstick, and I have found myself reaching for this a lot now a days. It just seems to brighten my mood in contrast with the gloomy days we have outside!

You may notice that I have put 'affordable' on the Pros and 'pricey' on Cons. The reason for this is because I think that for a lipstick like this it is worth your every penny. Other lipsticks price their lipsticks between 1,000 to 1,500 and people spend without batting an eyelash. But still, some women do not think that they need to use luxury lipsticks because they change lipstick as they would their underwear so they stick to a 350-500 peso budget for lippies. I can totally relate!
