Luminous Skin with Avon

#productreview

Every girl has their "lazy days", when even women who can't live without makeup get lazy to even put on lipstick. What more spending extra minutes on applying a good makeup base? I am one of those women. I experience "tamaditis" on some days specially when PMS-ing (eeek! Sorry boys if you are reading this).

So when those days hit me, I turn to trusty old foundation powders that give me good coverage and I am out the door!

Avon Ideal Luminous Powder Foundation (PhP 499.00)

I love the packaging. It's very sleek and thin it can fit in most of my evening clutches for touch-ups. I don't like powders that have a bulky container that you can't tuck them safely in your evening clutch.

I'm so thrilled that Avon gave me this shade which matches my skin tone and color perfectly!

A yellow-based powder that has a velvet-y finish! The texture is very smooth and bouncy, not chalky! Don't you just hate those?

Pro tip: When you still find yourself staring at flaky, dry looking makeup with powder foundations, it may not be your skin! Go to a reputable waxing/threading salon and have your entire face threaded. You may have fine hairs all over your face that are invisible to the naked eye. Remember, makeup doesn't stick to hair!

I love how easily it glides on the face without looking dry or flaky. Some foundations tend to do that. I am thrilled that I was able to find a powder foundation that suits my skin type, tone and color without burning too deep a hole in my pocket! I am usually a MAC NC35 in the Studio Fix line.

My blemishes are properly concealed without having to use concealers, and some other discolorations on my face are hidden as well! My usually reddish undertone is corrected as well giving a smooth and fresh canvas for brows, cheeks, and lips.

After it properly sits on my face (10-20 minutes after I put it on), it looks like skin. It gives a subtle dewy look which I love. When light hits your face, skin shines through -and not hidden under layers of makeup.

The only problem is, looking for a source who sell Avon products when I run out. I don't know anyone who sell Avon products. Well, where there's a will, there's a way! So they say.

Have you tried this before? What did you think?

  3. we have an Avon lady in our office and now I know what I wanna get from her next (hehe, I always checkout her catalog for new lipsticks)! I need a new powder foundation for everyday and I'm almost out of the one I use from a different brand. I think it's time to try this one from Avon. Great review!

    4. naka 3months na din ms sabs nagstart ako sa makeup ban.. talagang self control kapag nasa grocery/store ako.. kapag nakadampot ako ng product to try talagang battle ito hehe.. hirap kontrahin ng sarili hehehe.. before i out it sa basket ko tiantanong ko na lang sa sarili ko (1) necessity ba ito then kapag di nakumbinsi sasabihin ko (2) meron ka pang di na-eempty na item sa bahay. then i'll give up kasi tama pa din ako.

para di ako umuwi na malungkot i'll check the basket if i had something for the daughter (like food or biscuits/ milk or choco drinks or necessities nya, then if i had okay na ko ulit, i'll treat myself with chocolates na lang hee hee
