Have you guys seen the Revlon Color Stay Ultimate Suede Lipstick Ad with Olivia Wilde? I love her lippie! That is the perfect shade that I want to sport this Fall!

Before anything else, let me tell you something about the Ultimate Suede Lipstick Line -One of the best things about this lipstick is that the tube is clear. You can easily spot the shade from your cosmetic bag or your makeup drawer at home. And also, it has a "clicking mechanism" when you twist the tube (watch it on my video below later to know what I mean).

The thing is, lipstick shades always change as soon as they come in contact with my lips. Let's take the Revlon Ultimate Suede in Backstage. In the ad it looked like a deep red but on me, it looked bluish and magenta-ish, and glossy nonetheless! I was hoping for it to be a bit more matte or suede-ish than the effect it  had on me. I wasn't expecting the shine.

Since the lipstick had a strong bluish undertone on me, I wanted it to be more on the deep red side. So I looked for a lippie that had a more red undertone, but still had a berry hue on it. That's when I discovered Fanny Serrano's Moisturific Lipstick in Swiss Kiss.

I am not digging the lipstick tube so much. I mean really -metallic aqua? But I do love the formula of the lipstick I must say!

It truly is moisturizing as promised that's why I fell in love with this lipstick. If you use the blot-reapply method to make the color last, it really stays! Just end with a blot than reapplying if you want a matte-ish finish.

I can explain better with talkies so I prepared a video for this too! Check it out:

  2. Oh great!! I've tried mixing lippies last night. I want to achieve a vampy red lips but I don't have a lipstick of the color I want so I mixed AVON Lava Love (red) lipstick with a bit of Wet N Wild Vamp It Up (dark purple) lipstick! I love how creamy the lipstick is on you. I thought that when you layer lip products, the lip product on your lips becomes thin.

    1. Nice! That shade is perfect for fall! Actually I thought that too, but if you just do the blot-reapply technique, it shouldn't thin out ♥

  6. I prefer the color when you mixed them together. Saken din po, usually nagche-change ang shade ng lipstick when I apply it on my lips, maybe because I have pigmented lips. I love mixing lipsticks too. Specially when I don't really like a certain lipstick, I mix it with the other shade so it won't go to waste naman. Really love the output of your mix lippies :)
