#spotlight

I am months late from posting this but it's never too late to rave about Prestige's Total Intensity makeup line. For a while, I thought that this brand has folded and has left the shelves of Beauty Bar, so I was really surprised when I got the invite to the re-launching of the brand!

I was really so excited to attend too because it was a brand that I have always believed in, specially when I was just starting out as a makeup artist in 2004. They had such great quality makeup with affordable prices so it was a brand of choice for me, specially for an aspiring makeup artist back then where most projects I had was still pro-bono.

More on this collection after the page break!

Along with this collection, the brand also launched their Prestige Cosmetics Back to Black Collection which is basically a collection of basic black eyeliners from pencils, to kohl, to liquid liners, and even eraser pens! It was such a great event for the brand because they came in perfect timing too where a lot of makeup artists are just starting out.

Their products are highly pigmented, specially their eyeshadows which remind me a lot of Inglot's eyeshadows from their Freedom Line, which are easily blended and very easy to create smokey looks which they say is the hardest look to do. But with blend-able shadows like these, it's pretty hard to make a mistake. You just have to apply a little at a time.
Total Intensity Bold Trio Eyeshadow in Mirage, PhP 795
So this is the Bold Trio eyeshadow that I received from the press kit, which is a very wearable shade either for day or night. It just depends on how you use it. I would choose this shade any day better because earth shades are very much versatile and wearable.
These swatches are just a single swipe and look how pigmented they are! Really reminds me of Inglot and it has the same color intensity as MAC too! So when using these eyeshadows, I would recommend applying a layer of loose powder under the eyes to catch fall out eyeshadow and making a mess.
These metallic eyeshadows are just as they are described. They remind me of Maybelline's Hyper Glossy Electrics Liquid Liners but in powder form. They are like liquid metals that glides on the surface of the skin smoothly.
Total Intensity True Metals Eyeshadow in Sterling, PhP 625
Priced at only PhP 625 for a 2.8g pan is really well worth it! I love the blendability of this eyeshadow as well. I don't think I need to repeat myself how much I love blending these eyeshadows.
This is just a single swipe of the shadow on my skin and you can see how metallic they really are. Perfect for magazine editorial shoots and other fashion shoots! Or night outs with friends when you are feeling a little bit adventurous with eyeshadows. This will make a great metallic smokey look. I did a post on using metallic eyeshadows several years ago called CHROME DETAILING, I used Shawill's metallic eyeshadows. You can peg looks from that post if you want to get an idea on how to use metallic shadows.
Do you remember EmilyBlunt's makeup look in Devil Wears Prada? I soooo loved that look! She was wearing a bold, metallic green eyeshadow with an almost all-black outfit!
Anyone who loves going out would know that metallic eyeshadow creates the best dramatic eye makeup look. They're the easiest to blend and the easiest to create smokey eye looks!
Total Intensity Long Term Relationship Fierce Color Eyeshadow in Crave, PhP 545
The same rave about these Long Term Relationship Eyeshadows, they are just as highly pigmented as the other shadows from the collection which makes them so easy to apply!
I love how pigmented this eye pencil is! Just a single swipe and you will be amazed at the wonderful boldness of the the pencil. My only beef with this pencil is that the tip is so soft that it really breaks easily. You can see that I just stuck the tip back so that I can take a photo of the pencil. It took me so many tries to sharpen it back too! I gave up after a few inches because I couldn't sharpen it properly. So that's a major CON for me for this pencil.
Long Lasting Intense Color Eyeliner in Outrageous Emerald, PhP 325
The eyeliner swatches on my hand are from the Prestige Cosmetics Back to Black Collection. See how pigmented the eyeliner is? Fantastic! I just wish they can make the formula harder so it won't break off easily. It actually has the consistency of an eyeshadow stick, and you know how soft those are.
These are my favorite from the Total Intensity collection -the lippies! I love lippies because they are the fastest way to update any look! You can transform any look from day to night just by swiping a different lip color on your lips.
Total Intensity Total Wear Lip Crayon, PhP 595/each
I love how creamy these are and they are long lasting too! They're not transfer proof though but it takes a while for them to rub off. So just layer on the color for a more long-lasting pout!
These lip crayons are super pigmented with a rich, vibrant color play in just one swipe, seriously, these swatches below are just a single swipe each! The creamy formula glides effortlessly just like a balm, and stays put without running or feathering. It wears comfortably without being drying on the lips and the color lasts a good 3-4 hours with minimal fading.
This creamy eyeshadow stick is high in pigment and you just have to apply a little to use. Use your finger to blend to create a soft day time smokey look!
As with any eyeshadow stick, these are super easy to apply for an all over wash of color (or you can smudge for a more subtle color), or you can also use these as a base color for other shadows, and of course as an eyeliner too! They have a creamy smooth formula that glides on effortlessly across the skin and blends out easily.
If you are going to blend these eyeshadow sticks, just be sure to blend it out fast, like within a few minutes because once it sets, it stays put all day until you have to wash it off. The color pigment is excellent and very bold! Easy to build up for more pigment and coverage too. The formula is truly long-wearing, waterproof and lasts all day, I wore it one time on an evening out and it lasted all day! – no smudging, creasing or fading.
Since I always do looks that uses the same shades, I will just post links on looks I did in the past using more or less these shades.
