My thoughts on Olay's Moisture Outlast Body Wash

by - Friday, March 27, 2015

Ever since, I have always preferred body gels and washes versus using soaps. I love using mesh sponges that's why! Plus, somehow I find most soaps drying and that's why I am so elated that Olay finally came out with ultra moisturizing shower body washes that are extremely hydrating to the skin! (Hooray Olay!) -Plus! Their scents smell good too!

Often when we are out shopping for various beauty and personal bath products, we are met with a dilemma that has developed in recent years: “Should I use soap bars or body washes/gels?” or “Which is best for my skin and my budget?” Although soap may be a better choice economically, when it comes to hygiene and skin benefits, body wash is best.

What other benefits can you get from using body washes? Find out more after the break!

For example, in large families sharing a bathroom using a single bar of soap can prove to be uncleanly. Some think that it's self-cleaning but really, soap should be treated as you would your toothbrush!

So with the use of a body wash on the other hand, helps keep one free of rashes or other skin aliments that may transfer because there is no skin on skin contact. And I have noticed over the years of using body washes that it actually helps keep the skin more supple and lush.

These are the two variants that I have tried so far and I loved them both! Although I didn't feel that "cooling" effect with the Strawberry and Mint wash, my skin still felt really refreshed afterwards.
The Olay Body Wash come in white bottles with splashes of colorful designs depending on the variant. The cap is the flip type at the top so you won't have to worry about spills and wastage. The slightly thick and creamy texture of the body wash looks akin to any of those creamy shampoos; except for the variants that have is a gel type of wash so that one is the typical gel-type body wash from other brands. All of the Olay Body Wash variants smell sweet and mild.
If used without a shower mesh sponge, the body wash feels a bit slimy when spread along the body with the help of palms and won't lather as much too! But, when used with the help of a loofah or any kind of bath sponge, it lathers abundantly and only a little bit of body wash is needed which makes it so economical.

I find these body washes really apt for dry skin, and I feel, that it would be a good way to treat the skin while taking a shower during colder days when the skin tends to get a rough and dry. I am very happy with the body wash and I am loving it thoroughly. I haven't tried all the variants yet tough but I can honestly say that so far, all of these variants have their own skin benefits.

Olay Moisture Outlast Body Wash is available in all leading supermarkets, drugstores, and department stores nationwide for PhP 105 for a 200ml bottle, and PhP 199 for a 400ml bottle!
