Maybelline Hyper Curl Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara

I truly am a fan of Maybelline mascaras. They are one of the few mascaras I can wear without making my eyes watery, and it's also one of the very few that doesn't wear my lashes down after I curl them! Although I did find that it still depends on the formula from Maybelline.

I found that Maybelline's The Falsies and Magnum Volum Express worked very well on me, but The Rocket mascara kind of straightened my lashes after application. I think I may give that one another try though. I just find it impossible sometimes that a Maybelline mascara won't work well on me.

One of the best things about this mascara is that it's extremely affordable! I mean come on! PhP 249 for a good mascara that works? I am loving the sleek pink and black theme of this tube.

For me, Maybelline mascara brushes are all the same, they only change it slightly to give a different result but to me it all doesn't matter because all of my experiences with Maybelline mascaras have been great!
Curvature of this brush is good for brushing the curve of the eye and is able to hug the lashes real well as it takes up the shape of the eye.
Some people who live in humid countries in the US complain about this mascara not holding the curl and that it clumps after a while, but here in the Philippines where the climate is humid all year long, I found this mascara to last on me longer than other mascaras I have tried with other brands with smudging at all. 

This mascara is formulated for asian skin and eye lashes, it holds the curl extremely well under extreme humidity and heat so it gives a really natural look. Here are my lashes coated with one layer of Hypercurl. You can clearly see how it maintains the curl of my lashes.
It becomes more volumnized after the second coat giving it a bit more length.
The third coat is simply ideal because it gives volume and maximum length!
Considering that I have thin lashes and short ones too, I love the effect this mascara gives my lashes! My eyes look wide awake and it gives a very doe-eyed look too which looks really girly and youthful!

I think I just may have found my HG mascara. Let's see shall we? It's still early 2015 anyway! But for now? I would call it just that.

  • Not a watered down formula so it coats the lashes well.
  • Nice thick formula great for volume!

  • Does not damage lashes. Moisturizes the hair.
  • No fumes that irritate the eyes.

  • Readily available in all Maybelline counters.
  • Lengthens eyelashes.
  • Waterproof.
  • Long-lasting.
  • Tear and sweat-proof.
  • Short bristles of the brush make it easier to coat from roots to the tips of your lashes.
  • Easy to hold and control the wand handle.
  • Does not feel heavy on the lids even if you apply a lot of layers. You can layer it by the way, and it won't give you that clumpy gooky mascara look!
  • Retains the curl that you have done with a lash curler!
  • Won't weigh the hairs down.
  • Formulated for Asian eyes and climate.

    This is one of the best mascara I have ever tried ate Sab! The problem is laging out of stock sa mall near my area. You know the feeling when you splurge for a mascara and it just disappoint you so you decided to go back to cheaper but better mascara. I also love the fact that it really lengthens my sparse lashes and it holds the curl all throughout the day. I am a bit disappointed with my recent purchased (The rocket mascara blue one) I think it's for girls who have long lashes but needs a little bit volume. I will surely go back to Hypercurl mascara.

      Naku I know exactly what you mean... That happens to me a lot too! Why don't you write to Maybelline's Facebook and ask them where their stores are pa near your area? I'm sure there's more than one :)

      I think what you were referring to is the HyperCurl Volum' Express Cat Eyes which comes with a comb rather than the typical mascara brush :) Hehehe... I tried that one too but I found it hard to apply and doesn't maintain the curl of the lashes ♥

    Hard to beat the price and quality of Maybelline mascaras. They're still my main comparison when I go mascara shopping. In fact, my latest buy was from Maybelline, The Rocket.

      I know right? Maybelline mascaras are the best! It's actually the only brand that can hold up the curls of my lashes. I have yet to find another brand that would do that to my overly stubborn lashes! LOL Thanks for dropping by ♥

    Never tried this one (and I should! *winks). I use the Maybelline colossal one (yellow). I tried the Falsies (purple) too. Great products. I've tried other brands (some were pricier) but Maybelline works best for me :D Maybelline has the best drugstore mascaras. Thanks for the post!

    I first discovered Maybelline's The Falsies masscara (from a friend) and I instantly loved it. Sooo I went to the nearest department store and I compared hypercurl from the falsies, the sales lady and I finally agreed that the hypercurl masscara has better results on my lashes! :)
