Benefit Puff Off Instant Eye Gel To Help Smooth the Look of Undereye Puffies is a new Benefit product for a Spring 2015 permanent release! I have been reading so much about this product everywhere around the net and as always, I’m in heaven as Benefit has sent me my own sample to try as I’m always excited when some new product comes along to help look for products that address my under eye puffiness that appear once in a while!

Benefit Puff Off Instant Eye Gel is an under eye treatment that helps to “iron” out under eye puffiness and fine lines, I guess you can also call it your typical eye cream but this one targets puffiness. Some eye creams would target fine lines, wrinkles, dark under eyes, etc. This is a very adorably designed tube that features a cooling “iron” applicator that allows you to smooth and massage the eye gel on the area. The cool metal tip mimics the old spoon in the fridge trick for instantly reducing under eye puffiness fast before applying your makeup in the morning. I will show you a bit later how it looks like. The cooling "iron" applicator is a good way to smooth away late night or sinus puffiness. Although if you were born naturally with puffy aging eyes, I don't think this is going to work quite well for you. You may need a much stronger formula for that maybe.
If awards were given away for wonderful packaging, I am sure Benefit would always come out on top! Now, with their latest cutely packaged eye gel that has been designed to instantly smooth out fine lines, calm puffiness as well as cooling and soothing the eye area with their metal tip that really looks like an iron!
I love that their packaging is very portable and takes very little space in your makeup kit. You can bring it with you everywhere because you can use this to refresh your under eye area when your eyes are feeling a bit tired towards the end of the day.
The angled iron shaped nozzle is the perfect shape and size for ease and convenience of use when applying to a fairly tight and tricky area under your eyes. The iron nozzle allows for precision while the metal tip cools and massages because metal absorbs coldness, this really is a realized idea from the spoon-on-the-eye trick we have all been accustomed to.

My only advice when using this product is not to squeeze too firmly as it will result in excess product and of course a big fat waste. Always start with as little product as you possible can and just work from there. And the good news is, Benefit Puff Off is not prone to leakage.
The actual eye gel formula is more of a very light hydrating eye cream formula rather than an eye gel. It absorbs quite easily on the skin (no waiting time!) and seems to have a brightening mixture in the product that brighten up the area but nothing too glittery or overly sparkly. Once spread out on the under eye area, the cream absorbs very easily under eyes but being as dry as I am now during my pregnancy, I don’t find it enough to moisturize the dry spots I have on in there, although that’s not how it’s marketed for anyway so I guess that’s fine.
I did note that this is a mere 10ml in size with a hefty price tag of PhP 1,500 and I couldn’t help but think maybe that money would be better spent towards a much longer investment like an eye cream for women who have bigger under eye puffiness issues. I guess this is nice to have for women who have puffy eyes once in a while for instant smoothing out.

Benefit Puff Off Instant Eye Gel might be a handy solution for younger eyes but those with aging skin might not see much of a difference. For me though I didn’t notice a drastic change since I do not have that much puffy eyes when I used it. But I did love the cool minty feel of it and the mild fragrance it has. I dotted the product on my under eye area instead of squeezing the tube and applying it directly so that I know how much product is going to the area. I then used the iron to "iron" the baggies. You can see that it has a soft glow to my under eye area.

I noticed that it may not be very moisturizing, but it adds a light hydration boost without being overwhelming and leaves the area looking and feeling fresh (gosh, I really love that minty feel). As someone with an occasional oily eye area I find Benefit Puff Off prevents my mascara and any make-up applied to my lower eye area from smudging or creasing (amazingly so), with similar effects on my upper eye area too.
