So, as I have mentioned in my previous post, this is how I spent my Friday: Purifying and Re-hydrating my skin, and painted my nails!

There are days when I don't get to do a deep cleanse because it really takes so much time, specially if you want to do it right. So today was spent purifying my skin and rehydrating my face because it's been a while since I applied purifying mask on my face.

Most masks would tell you that 10 minutes is ok, but I leave it on for at least 15 minutes -20 at the most. Except for GlamGlow where you only need to leave it on for a maximum of 10 minutes. But with Herbalife which is a less aggressive purifying mask, one can leave it longer than 10 minutes.

Since this Herbalife mask is a bit drying after washed on me, I have to rehydrate my skin using a mask sheet that would do just that. And what better mask to do just that but DERMAL. There are several brands out there of facial mask sheets, you can just take your pick which ever will work best for you.

Let's talk about Herbalife SKIN's Purifying Mint Clay Mask. Aside from GlamGlow, this is one of my favorite masks because it rids of my black and white heads effectively. Plus, the pores gets a good deep cleanse that makes my skin look healthier.

I learned about this product at the launch of Herbalife's new skin care line last July. Oh! This is my month of conception by the way. I just realized that now. LOL They didn't really do a demo on the mask but we were given the entire skin care line to take home and try out for ourselves.

This is really a great product for me right now, specially now that I am pregnant.
It comes in a short and stout easy squeezable tube that is portable enough to bring with you when you travel.
It has a snap, flip top closure that will ensure the freshness of the product without drying the mask when exposed to air.
 I didn't shake the bottle so it came out a little bit runny instead of pasty. I have used this mask about 4 times already in the past during my pregnancy and I was really very happy with the results. Plus, it's the only mask I prefer right now since it's the only clay mask I am sure is safe for pregnant women. Well, this one and NEKKID's Oatmeal & Chamomile Tea Mud Mask, which I will be reviewing soon too!
If you apply only a thin layer, it dries up faster making it crusty sooner.
I apply a thick layer of clay mask on my skin and relax. I read a book or watch reruns, just so I won't get bored waiting for the mask to dry.
I timed it, and it takes 15 minutes for the mask to dry, and for the minty feel to go away. Even after 15 minutes, there is still a slight minty feel though but not as prominent when you first apply the mask. Sorry for looking just a tad smug. I can't smile because the clay mask has hardened! LOL

Just like the GlamGlow mask, this one has a tingling and throbbing feeling as well on the skin.
Here's a closer look on the hardened clay mask. It's quite thick but I like it that way. You don't have to apply it this thick but I love it when my whole face is covered with clay! Hehehe... Even if you use a thin layer, it will still work very well.
Looking at the before photo, you can see that my skin is looking a bit dull and dry.
With a closer look on my nose, you can see that I have so much white heads on the sides of my nose, and several blackheads on the ball of my nose.

I love how clean my pores feel after using this mask! The mint opens up the pores and draws the dirt up to the surface and deep cleanses it. I just enjoy using this mask specially when my skin is feeling a little bit dull.
My skin always feels tight because the skin is stripped away of oils, so it's crucial to use a heavy moisturizing cream, or better yet, use a very effective facial mask like DERMAL. I have been using DERMAL masks ever since it was first launched here in Manila. I keep masks of it in the fridge because I love applying it cold! It's very relaxing!

DERMAL Milk Collagen Essence Mask, PhP 70

It's very simple to apply too! Just rip open the top part and pull out the mask. It pretty sturdy so you don't have to worry about tearing the sheet. It's very moist and might feel a little bit slimy. But you will notice that it's easily absorbed by the skin so don't worry about having to wash your hands right away!

I leave it on for a good 20 minutes just so it will really get absorbed by my skin, and the essence will penetrate the skin deeper.
After 20 minutes, I don't wash my face at all. I discard the sheet and massage the remaining essence on my face on my skin in circular motions until it's well spread. I even get some more essence in the pack and apply it on my neck!

Just leave your face to absorb the essence and you will find your skin well hydrated and you won't be needing a moisturizer anymore! The skin is left soft and supple, and no sticky feeling too!
Skin looks well-rested and refreshed. Awake and looks glowing! I love how my skin no longer looks dry and dull.

When I do this regimen, I make sure I have at least an hour to spare because I want to make the most out of the products. Take your time in doing such treatments so you get your money's worth. This is a mask for the books and it's a real keeper! The only thing is, you will have to find an Herbalife seller to get one. You can't just go to a store to buy one for yourself.
