Review on Etude House's Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara
#eyespymondays
Hey ladies! Ugh. I was supposed to post this yesterday for #eyespymondays but I got so preoccupied with my Nekkid orders that I wasn't able to do so! But I still really wanted to post this one so here it is!
One of the most challenging product for me to find is mascara. Finding the perfect mascara is like searching for the perfect man. I have lashes that get weighed down easily, and not all mascaras can hold the curl of my lashes even though they say it's "curling".
There are only 2 brands of mascara that worked really well for my lashes: Maybelline The Hyper Curl Volum Express Mascara, and Covergirl LashBlast Volume Mascara (Waterproof). So, every time I am sent a new mascara, I am secretly hoping that it will work well on my lashes! Another thing that is frustrating for me is that my eyes get really watery and it really stings when the mascara doesn't agree with me.
Etude House Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara, PhP 848 |
It's a bit pricey compared to Maybelline's mascara, but it is from Korea so if you love it, then the price is worth it. Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara claims to keep your lashes curled for 24 hours! It's completely waterproof against water, sweat, tears, and sebum. I don't doubt that for one bit but will it agree with my really sensitive eyes and my stubborn lashes? Let's see.
Curl Fix comes in four shades: Black, Brown, Plum Burgundy, and Pink (pink??). Of course, black is always the way to go!
It has a "dual jelly brush" that is what Etude calls their revolutionary brush for this mascara, that's supposed to pull your lashes at the top, bottom, front and back for maximum and extreme curl.
Looking at the brush closely, the brush has very short bristles on one side and longer, comb-like bristles on the other. This mascara wand is not your typical spoolie type of brush too! It's made from jelly brush that is supposed to deliver product to your lashes more effectively.
Just looking at the brush, you can see how glossy and black this formula is...it's really shiny and really really black even when swatching it! Plus, I really had a hard time removing the product on my hand too! I had to use a really heavy cleansing oil and even soap and water after!
This mascara is very, very wet so you will have to swipe excess product on the rim of the tube before applying it on your lashes or you'll end up with too much gook on your lashes that's really hard to clean up.
The best part for me is that my eyes did not get watery at all or did it sting all throughout the day and that is always a plus for me when looking for a good mascara. So for women who have sensitive eyes like me will be glad to know that this mascara won't give them allergies.
In spite of this mascara not holding the curl of my lashes that much, I am still giving this mascara a high score of 4.5 stars because I really liked everything about this product: the formulation, the mascara want, the staying power, and no irritations! I would say that this would be the next best thing to Maybelline The Hyper Curl Volum Express Mascara.
On my face: Avon Ideal White Essence Foundation, Coverderm Compact Powder, Maybelline 3D Brow and Nose Palette, Happy Skin Feeling Sculptacular Face Contour Kit, FS Cosmetics Powder Blush in Silky Coral Pink, Eye of Horus Goddess Smokey Eye Pencil in Black, Clinique Pop Matte Lip Colour+Primer in Shock Pop
MY OVERALL RATING: ★★★★☆.5

I've been seeing people rave about this mascara for awhile, I never really got the chance to test it out. I would want to have a mascara that would hold the curl for quite a long time so I'm still kind of in between getting it or not getting it. Would have to do more research. Nice review though :D
