Eyebrow Week, Day 4: Shu Uemura Brow:Ink
#eyebrowweek
This is the first eyebrow product from Shu Uemura that I have tried ever so this is a pretty exciting time for me! LOL new makeup always excites me! I know you already know that by now. So anyway, here's day 4's eyebrow product feature: Shu Uemura Brow:Ink!
I am not really familiar with all the Shu Uemura brow products but this one I really liked. You will see later on why I am loving this product so much. It is the first time I tried something like this that's why I was surprised how well it really worked out for me. At first glance I didn't know how anything with a brush for the eyebrows could work out well but it really surprised me.
It would work even better for women who have thinner brows. It's easy to use with the unique flat brush this product has (something you don't usually come across when it comes to eyebrow products).

Curious? More about BROW INK after the break!
This eyebrow product adds a whole new meaning in eyebrows! The "ink" really gets in between the hairs to add 3D appearance to your brows by coloring the skin in between brow hairs that are hard to reach with the flat brush that is specially designed to apply the shading colors precisely on the skin.
It comes in a small tube (pricey for a small tube), I don't imagine you would be needing a whole lot of product even if you didn't have any brows at all and you need to paint one on with this one. So it's quite economical if you ask me.
The Brow Ink comes in four shades: Tawny Gold, Honey Glaze, Palm Beige and Ash Brown.
It was so apt that I received Ash Brown from Shu Uemura because I have ash brown hair right now. Well, not my lengthy regrowth which badly needs some touching up.
It has a unique brush that you don't typically see in brow products. I love that you can use the flat side of the brush to define the thicker part of your brows, and just turn it sideways to draw a thinner line.
It looks as if you end up with too much product with one swipe so it's best that you wipe the brush on the sides of the rim of the tube. I apply it as thinly as I possibly can and just build from there. It's always good to start with less than end with too much and try to correct it.
It has a slightly watery consistency that glides in the surface of the hair and the skin smoothly. It's not so runny that you will have to watch out for drips, but it's not so creamy either that you will have to take extra care in applying it to avoid having too much product on your brows.
Here's a closer look of my brows using Shu's Brow Ink. I love how natural it looks and it looks and it looks like a better version of a brow tattoo. It really gets in between the hairs and onto your skin making it look not drawn on.
The brow ink also tints the dark pigment of my hair making it look lighter than they really are which is good because you don't need an extra product to tint the brows.
If you look at my face, you can see how naturally full my brows look without any harsh lines indicating that you applied on product. That's one of the factors why I like this product, it's because it doesn't leave any harsh lines around the brows making it look fake.

yey for this review! I am so loving your brow posts. Brow addict here! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I can't imagine anyone who isn't addicted to fixing their eyebrows! Diba?? LOL ♥
DeleteI'm a first time reader of your blog and I'm glad I found it. I was researching for some good eye brow products as a gift for my sister and I stumbled upon your blog thru Google. The Shu Uemura seems easy to use, which is a big plus for me and I'm glad it has different shades of color to choose from. It's a bit pricey, but hopefully it's worth it. Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteOh cool! Warm welcome to you then! Welcome to my blog! I'm glad you stumbled upon my blog :) Yes, it is pricey but if your sister is either a newbie or expert brow product user this is a very good product, i swear! There's plenty of room for mistakes because it's very easy to use :) Try before you buy! 'm sure the Shu Uemura makeup artists can help you try it out ♥
Deletei would definitely agree that this is a very good product.. (the only downside is the price! i could get 10-11 pieces of my current eyebrow pencil for its price) if i could spend a lot for eyebrow product i would surely get this one..
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried to color my brows using this kind of brush. I would prefer if the wand was a angled brow brush for more precised line
ReplyDeleteOooh! If you're looking for an angled product then you should check my previous post about Pixi's Natural Brow Duo! The product is already angled so no need to use an angled brush to apply! ♥
DeleteI checked all the Eyebrow Week post, and comparing all I would choose this. I would love to own one, but Shu Uemura is out of my budget! haha! Great review though.
