No need to ban the use of foundation this summer with Coverderm

#aboutface

A good makeup base is hard to come by. It really irks me when I see some women choosing the wrong shade of foundation, and to make matters worse, they do not notice how far the shade is from their natural skin color.

With this heat anyway, I cannot imagine wearing a full coverage foundation. Wither I wear my trusty powder foundation, mineral powder, or a BB/CC cream. I was going to an outdoor event one time and I needed a new light foundation to use. I looked at all the products in my cabinet and saw that I have yet to try, and I saw that I haven't tried Coverderm yet.

Well, this is a good a time as any.

Coverderm CC Cream, price unavailable

I have tried Coverderm before, and it was the Compact Powder. I remember calling that product an HG powder because of how it gives excellent coverage while being extremely lightweight.
I cannot imagine having to put anything heavy on my face lately, and it's products like these that make me shout for joy.
You might be wondering what a CC Cream is though. A CC Cream is a cosmetic product with a creamy formulation, typically lighter in texture than foundation, used to even out facial skin tone. When your skin tone is off by a few shades and a few tones, then the CC is your best bet.

Definitely a lot different than that of a BB Cream.
Coverderm has been around for a while, but they cannot seem to penetrate the market stable enough to last. When Coverderm was re-launched, they were available in SM department store. And just shy of a couple of years, they disappeared again, and became available online only.
Coverderm used to be Covermark. A revolutionary makeup brand that covers up hard to cover discolorations and skin problems such as acneic skin, vitiligo, birthmarks, and more.

Covermark CC Cream has a very light consistency. It is almost like tinted moisturizer, but not quite. It has that airy, moisturizing finish without the grease or the mattifying.

I do not know about you, but I did not care too much for mattifying products. They just dry up the skin, and it makes one look sallow or dry.
It has a very sheen and skin-like finish. No caking or no creasing on the face which makes it even more desirable.

The formulation is extremely flexible on the skin and does not leave a sickly finish to your skin.
Best to use this base with a rounded foundation brush. I personally love applying this with an oval brush because it buffs the foundation real well into the skin, making the finish look airbrushed.

I love how the skin still shines through the makeup. I am all for covering blemishes well, but there should still be skin being shown under makeup. Makeup is supposed to enhance your beauty, not cover it up!
See how the finish looks skin-like? It's very flexible and it doesn't need a whole lot of product to give a coverage like this.

I love how this CC Cream is not perfumed so it's pretty hypo allergenic. It definitely looks like second skin, and even if you sweat, the CC cream does not streak or give you colored sweat.
I have been using this foundation for two weeks now and I do not have any intention of using something else for now. I love how economical it is. You do not need a whole lot of product to do a full coverage.

So if you sweat a lot, Coverderm is the CC Cream for you. The best part? It has SPF 25!

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS:

Length of usage before review: 2.5 Weeks

  • Matches a lot of skin tones. Very versatile.
  • Easy to apply and is not at all chalky.
  • Moisturizing.
  • Covers imperfections with ease.
