My thoughts on Céleteque's Makeup Remover Cleansing Facial Wipes

by - Friday, September 16, 2016

One of the best things about cleansing wipes is that you can cleanse your face while you're in bed on days you are just too tired to remove your makeup and wash your face. Me, who is very OC about removing makeup before bed, I do get those days sometimes specially after a long and tiring day.

Choosing cleansing wipes is like choosing the right mascara, not all will work for you, but there will always be one that will. I am one of those lucky people who is "hiyang" with all the cleansing wipes I have tried in the past. So when some of my readers would ask me which one I would recommend, I would enumerate to them the ones I have tried and just let them decide.

I have featured a number of cleansing wipes before: SkinLiteH2O+, Burt's Bees, Nivea, Cetaphil, and Bioré.

Céleteque DermoScience Makeup Remover Cleansing Facial Wipes, PhP 160

According to their website, CELETEQUE DermoScience™ Hydration Make-Up Remover Wipes gently removes make-up, excess sebum and dirt that may clog skin pores. It has Active Skin Hydrators that help boost skin’s level of moisture. It is convenient to use anytime anywhere.
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Coco-glucoside Tartrate, Phenoxyethanol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor oil, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Polysorbate 20, Proprylparaben, Methylparaben, Centella asiatica (Centella) Extract, Secale cereale (Rye) Seed Extract, Prunus serrulata (Sakura) Flower Extract, Fragrance, Disodium Phosphate, Disodium EDTA, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Steareth-2, Steareth-100, Laureth-4, Ethylhexylglycerin, Laureth-23

I am a bit skeptic about the parabens these wipes have, although they don't really bother me THAT bad, some people might. Composed mainly of water, that one is a bonus for me. Its cloth is made from a strong cotton-like material that is thick enough that won't break during use.
Here is me after a long day of going from one meeting to the next, and getting home to a 1 and a hald toddler who still wants to play with me. So, exhausted me just can't deal with too much cleansing tonight. I can't wait to get to bed! Of course, I still had time to take photos though! Hahaha!
I love that the cleansing cloths are really moist. Not as moist as the ones from Bioré and H2O+, and not as dry as the ones from Nivea. The wipes have a scent that doesn't bother me, but lingers quite a bit on the skin so this may be a bit of a downside for women who don't like scented wipes.

Just a gentle sweep across one half of my face instantly lifted and removed makeup, even my really hard to remove liquid matte lipstick! I didn't have to vigorously rub the wipes on my lips and on the waterproof liner I was wearing. They just lifted off.
I was wearing a bit of a heavy foundation and full on makeup, and one wipe was enough to remove all the makeup from my face as you can see in the photo below. I love how the cloths are really soft on the skin. Some people would use baby wipes on to remove makeup but those cloths are just too rough on the skin for me.
As I have mentioned earlier, I only needed one cloth to wipe out all the makeup from my face including the wateproof mascara, liner, and lipstick that I had on which was pretty impressive. Unlike the ones from Burt's Bees which I needed 2 pieces to cleanse my whole face.

These wipes from Céleteque are really economical since you don't need a whole lot to remove even waterproof makeup!
I would definitely recommend these to women who ask me about cleansing wipes. It's cool that it's only PhP160 for 20 sheets! It's really affordable, and really effective. I would recommend this brand to those women who love wearing makeup, even to those who do not.

So, have you tried Céleteque's Cleansing Wipes before? What do you think about them?

  1. Thanks for the review! I've been wanting to buy this but was skeptical. No weird residue after using it?

    1. Absolutely none! It doesn't leave those sudsy white residue after removing your makeup, unlike some baby wipes do. It's actually quite good :)

  2. I have never tried these before, but I've heard good things. However, I use Sanicare wet wipes as I feel they're effective for me, and cheaper, too!
