Eep! Pregnancy hormones suck big time for me. Every time I am pregnant, I find my skin so dry and itchy and no amount of lotion can cure it! Plus, having to put lotion in our humid climate only adds insult to injury. I don't like anything that would make me feel sticky and even more hot.

Most moisturizers in the market today with sunblock, I find too thick to be worn under makeup. Even though I am not pregnant, I still feel that moisturizers with SPF are too heavy, so I always opt for moisturizers that are gel-based because they tend to be lighter, and they tend to be absorbed faster by the skin because of the molecules it consists of.
Neitrogena Hydro Boost Gel SPF 30 PA++ comes in a slim plastic bottle that contains 40ml of product. The packaging is quite sturdy, so the product is protected inside the thick walls of the container. It has a clear plastic cap, with a pump nozzle. One pump is usually enough to cover your whole face. I love products that have pumps instead of having to dip your finger in the jar, this is definitely more hygienic.
Upon pumping out the product, the gel is a light color of blue but is clear when spread on the skin. You don't have to worry about looking like a smurf. I really don't know why most gel or aqua based moisturizers are colored blue though, I actually made that observation when I was using this moisturizer.

Since this moisturizer is water based, it does not feel heavy or greasy on the skin at all. It has a very pleasant smell that does not linger for a long time. It's not offensive and does not smell even under your makeup.

On initial contact with the skin, the gel gives an instant cooling effect but does not contain any menthol ingredient whatsoever, it just feels really refreshing on the skin, but only lasts for a few seconds.

Upon using this moisturizer every morning for the past 2 weeks, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel SPF30/PA++ gives my skin the needed moisturization and my skin doesn't feel dry or tight throughout the day.

I love how this moisturizer does not make my skin look and feel greasy at all! I actually feel really hydrated and the itchiness of my skin because of dryness has disappeared. Hydration of this product is at 400%. If you are suffering from extreme dryness, this is a product that I would recommend.
