Eye makeup for Chinitas

Q: janet: hi sabs! can you give me any tips about chinita eyes? will smokey eyes make my eyes look smaller?

A: Chinitas are actually easy to put makeup on. They have the most amazing canvass for eye makeup! It's just a matter of blending and using the right shadows. No, smoky eyes will actually make your eyes look wider. The trick is, use dark shadows aside from black. Use colors like gray, brown, olive green, etc. When applying your eye shadow, apply the dark eye shadow up a little above your crease. Then use the highlight shadow (bone, shimmery white, ivory) to blend the edges of your "false" crease. The highlight powder will make your brow bone appear more prominent than the rest of your eye lid, and the dark shadow will make it appear deeper. For your lower lash line, apply the same dark eye shadow from the inner corner to the outer most corner, but make sure that the one on the outer part of your line is thicker, and as you line going inward, the line is the thinnest to make your eyes more shapely and more open. Make sure you curl your lashes and use a lengthening and curling mascara. This will make your eyes look wider! If you don't have enough lashes to work with, use false lashes. These work wonders!!
