Are you ready to blast off with Maybelline's The Rocket Mascara? I have been waiting for this mascara to become available ever since I heard it was coming to Manila. And luckily, I got invited to the launch so I had first dibs on the newest mascara from the Maybelline mascara line.

Comes in a chic electric blue tube with pink accents just made this mascara desirable. Again, you know me, sucker for good packaging!
Same shape of tube with the existing mascaras now so no need to re-learn how to hold your mascara.
The mascara brush is completely different from all the other mascaras that Maybelline has! It has close and tightly arranged bristles that makes coating the lashes easy, and this avoids clumping.
Its' brush is something I have never seen before. I think it was made to do width and length. Here are the results:
MY THOUGHTS
PROS
- I applied 3 coats: pausing to rest for 1 minute after each application. There was no clumping!
- Even though I wore it the whole day, my lashes didn't feel heavy.
- Doesn't smudge as much.
- Affordable.
- Available practically everywhere!
- Coats each individual lash very well and evenly.
- Easy to handle.
CONS
- It felt a little bit sticky when you press your lids together tighly.
- The fumes irritated my eyes, it made my eyes water, and stung my eyes. But disappeared after about an hour. Of course, this is just me since my eyes are really sensitive to mascaras.
- It didn't hold my lashes' curl.
Although this is a good mascara too because it really doesn't clump, but if I were to choose from the mascara line that Maybelline has, I would use The Falsies, and The Rocket second. The Falsies holds my curled lashes the whole day.
MY OVERALL RATING: ★★★☆☆
Let's have some fun! I whipped out my AVON True Color Eyeshadow Quad in JEANS to create a makeup look inspired by THE ROCKET.
To exaggerate my lashes and still wanting the natural look, I used 3S Pre-glued Lashes. I love these because they are not made with plastic or synthetic hair. They look very natural even with this kind of length! You can get these from Beauty and Minerals!

I lined my eyes with black eyeliner using COVERGIRL's Liquiline Blast in Black. I used 3S Pre-glued falsies in MAJESTIC, and applied 3 coats of ROCKET mascara to blend my natural lashes with the falsies making it look very natural. This adds length too!
For my lips, I applied MAC's Girl About Town only on the center of my lips and pressed my lips together to create a stained, ombre lip look. And that's it!

I love the look so much! And I think the mascara wand actually reminds me of Covergirl Lash Blast mascaras. Anyway, will try and work on the giveaway. Thank you so much!

DeleteI bought this yesterday and I was disappointed. I really wanted to like it because of the raves and reviews. :( I can compare this to Benefit's They're Real! in the sense that they make my lashes look good but they don't hold the curl so well. I hope the waterproof formula comes out soon since it's supposed to hold the curl better. I'm still sticking to my holy grail mascara-- The Falsies.
