#productreview

Every third person in this planet hates black and white heads, and about more than half of those people can't afford to have a facial to remove this dirty little things with monthly appointments to the derma.

So, best alternatives? DIY Home Pore Strips/Wax/Treatments. I always bought nose strips -you know? the ones that you wet and apply it on your nose and they harden and very fun to peel off? That one. Another favorite of mine is Garnier's Self Heating Mask. Those really do heat up, open up your pores and clean them!

iWhite Nose Pack, PhP 18.00/sachet
So, I wanted to try something new and that's when I discovered iWhite's Nose Pack. It comes in 50g tubes but I chose to get ones in sachets because I was afraid of drying them out when the product gets in contact with air, it hardens into latex-like consistency.

A sachet is good for 2 applications, so I used the other half on my husband. LOL Poor guy.

Hmm... Let's take a BEFORE SHOT. I don't really have that much stuff going on in my nose for now because I just did the pore strip thing last week so I don't have that much to show. But anyway, I still have a little bit of white heads on the sides of my nose.

I followed the instructions to a T (well, except the washing with iWhite Facial Wash), and one application should look like this:

It has the consistency of Elmer's Glue. It's a bit icky to apply and you can end up with a bit of mess on your hands so you have to wash your hands after! It smells OK. I mean, it doesn't have a strong perfumed smell, but it does have a certain smell that I can't describe. It's not annoying I assure you.

...And looks like this when it dries up:

Make sure that the nose treatment really is dry before attempting to pull it off. If you don't, it will still be sticky and messy to remove. It takes about 15 minutes or a little bit longer to dry up (depends on how thick you applied the product).

So remember: For this treatment to peal off successfully and effortlessly, you should really give it the extra time to fully dry up!

When you peel it off, you are left with cleaner pores. It doesn't get totally clean but it does remove some of the ugly black and white heads. If you use it regularly, they will eventually disappear over time. As with other products, you should maintain a very good skin care regime. You use this 2-4 times a week to get maximum results.

PROS and CONS as compared with the traditional pore strips:

PROS

  • Cheap alternative to facials.
  • Product doesn't have an overpowering fragrance.
  • With consistent use, it does remove majority of your black and white heads. (Yay!)
CONS
  • Messy.
  • Takes a bit of time to dry up.
  • It takes dedication to use this 2-4 times a week. So stick with it and see positive results.

    1. Well, if your nose is clear naman and you can hardly see any black/whiteheads then you don't have to use products like these :) There are just some people who have more prominent and obvious blackheads that they want to get rid of ♥

  3. It's true. Same observation! It can get messy! I use the face pack and it leaves white pieces all over my face. That's what I hate. Try putting the product on the fridge before using it. It's so refreshing. :D
