Highlighting Powder does tend to emphasize pores making them look large. But if you are looking for just right amount of highlight/sculpt for daytime or night, this palette is an excellent choice. Shimmers are finely milled and don’t look chunky making your face look glittery and dirty.
It's strange why they call this palette a highlighting powder though because it looks more like a bronzer and a sculpting powder to me. Yes, it does have the iridescent particles but the shade is not at all for highlighting. You will look too bronzed when you apply this powder on your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin, so I use this as a bronzer to warm my cheeks and my face, and use the last two shades to highlight my cheekbones, forehead, nose bridge, and chin.
So what you do, is that you swirl your brush on the palette to mix the shades together and apply on your cheekbones and blend.
I really love the warmth it gives my face because I usually end up with a base that's too light for my skin. Even though my base matches me perfectly, I just look too pale or too white. So I add this on my cheekbones, and my temples and around my hairline to give my face a good bronze-y glow.
I would however use this highlighting powder sparsely, because you don't want to have that Julio Iglesias tan. So use only on areas where you would normally burn naturally when you've been out in the sun.
