Last February 29, I was invited to a very intimate lunch for the launch of Bobbi Brown's new Spring Summer Collection for 2016 and it's just to die for. I know people always say that after a launch, but these new products from Bobbi Brown are really drool worthy.

Bobbi Brown is known to create classic and beautiful makeup to enhance beauty. From their neutral shades of eyeshadows, skin-loving foundations, to their very luxurious skin care that really benefit you skin.

Bobbi Brown Spring Summer 2016 Collection Launch

The launch was held at Solstice Bistro & Boulangerie at 8 Rockwell and the venue couldn't have been more perfect for the launch. I had no idea it was going to be that intimate and it made the launch very personal and we were able to explore and try out the makeup first hand and up close.
I am really just loving this display. I love the beach-themed instagram-worthy display that makes me want to just hop in a car and go straight to a beach and disappear for a week. LOL
One of the star products at the launch was the Skin Foundation Cushion with SPF 50 +++ which is a real to-die-for product because I have tested it already and I just fell in love with it (review to be posted soon!)
Inspired by coffee pods, that's where Bobbi Brown based her packaging for the cushion compact. They do look like coffee pods, hence the display.
Bobbi's face masks are also one of their best sellers and they are perfect for multi-masking. For those of you who do not know what multi-masking is when you use several different treatments (masks) at the same time to get a customized skin remedy (which is exactly what an aesthetician does during a facial). Have an oily/acne prone nose area? Apply charcoal or clay in that area. Got dry cheeks? Use a hydrating mask in that particular patch. Have exceptionally sensitive skin on your forehead? Slather on a mask that is best for sensitive skin. Creating your own concoction makes it easy to treat combination skin or spot-specific flare ups. Plus, now you have a valid excuse to keep three or more masks in your skin care rotation.

By doing multi-masking, you prevent other areas from over drying when you use a particular mask targeted for oily skin. I personally have about 7 masks at home that caters to different skin issues so multi-masking is always best, plus it's really fun to do!
Bobbi Brown blushes are always very pretty, this is my first blush duo compact from Bobbi Brown so I am particularly excited about this product too! Plus the shade I received is just so perfect for me. Peach/orange tones always make me look sallow, so this is a welcome delight in my blush collection.

Oh, that round compact there is their new BROW GEL. I remember Martha of the Beauty Junkee getting all riled up upon learning of their new brow gel. She's just too cute.
Launches and events isn't all about getting free stuff, but it's about learning about new innovative products and helping the brand spread the word about their new skin-benefiting products. And this is just one of those proud moments I have to be a part of that group to be able to share what's coming to Bobbi Brown for other makeup and beauty addicts out there.
Some of the products that I received in my kit is their new brow gel, their new art stick, a blush duo, and the new cushion foundation! I am really excited about that orange lippie. Remember that orange lippie from Happy Skin called Sunset Kiss? It's just perfect for summer.

It's always refreshing to find bold shades like this from Bobbi Brown because their shades are always on the classic side, but anything from being boring. It's just really pretty makeup.
Another new product that will be coming your way this Summer is their eyebrow palette.
Aside from the cushion foundation that has got me all excited to try, were the illuminating powders which will become a staple in their product line. It comes in six shades that allows you to finish of your makeup by applying with a brush or a velour puff for a glowing/dew finish without the shimmer. It's sort of a shimmer brick, but without the excess shimmer/glitter. It just gives that nice glow to your skin. You can use each square as something else like a highlighter, or for contouring for the darker shades, Jackie Go even used it as an eyeshadow when we were testing it out at the event!
Bobbi Brown's philosophy on beauty is all about a balance in everything, exercise, eating healthy, and applying makeup to enhance their natural beauty, and not change the way they look. Hence, the very healthy lunch we had during the launch.

Solstice serves a mean Salmon Steak that is just heavenly. The salad with the strawberries is also to die for.
Bobbi Brown's makeup trainer Tamara Pineda did a short demo on how to achieve natural looking glowing skin using the proper skin care and the SS16 makeup collection.

My favorite part was using the cushion foundation and applying it with a synthetic brush that will make your skin look flawless but natural. I can't wait to show you my review tomorrow though! I will post it tomorrow, I promise!
It's really a pleasure spending my afternoon with these fabulous ladies from Bobbi Brown and my beauty blogger friends. It was a sort of relaxed afternoon talking about makeup and giving each other tips too! Even though we are all experts in beauty, we still learn a lot from each other in regards to applying makeup, or other ways on HOW TO apply products.
