My Favorite MAC Collection by Pedro Lourenço

I love eyeshadow palettes. I think you get so much more than just the 4 shades. You can create countless looks and they all complement each other well. I received this Pedro Lourenço eyeshadow quad from MAC a couple of months ago and I have been using it on quite a number of brides. Of course, I had to use it on myself first before I was feeling generous enough to share it with my brides, and all of these eyeshadow shades can be blended with my existing eyeshadows to make a new shade.

Allow me to give a background on who Pedro Lourenço is.
"With the debut of his first ready-to-wear collection at Paris Fashion Week in 2010, Brazilian designer Pedro Lourenço sealed his reputation as one of fashion’s most talented young creatives. Receiving instant critical acclaim for his contemporary design aesthetic and strong creative identity, the then 19-year-old Lourenço’s collection proved a hit with industry insiders such as Carine Roitfield and Hilary Alexander and drew early comparisons to Nicholas Ghesquière for his clean, architectural style. Called a “wunderkind” by several leading publications, the young designer produces two international collections a year alongside two capsule collections for the Brazilian market." -http://www.businessoffashion.com/pedro-lourenco

Now, going back to the color choices on this palette, you might think that it only goes well with my skin because I am fair skinned. But I have been using this on morena skin and they are all loving it because it emphasizes their golden tone even more.
So moving clockwise staring from the pale pink matte eyeshadow  names Santa Fe, All That Glitters with is a frosted light gold eyeshadow, then we have Sable which is a gold plum with bronze pearl eyeshadow, and last but not least (and my favorite!) is Era which is a matte soft golden beige which looks great for contouring the creases!
(Photo below) From left to right: Santa Fe, All That Glitters, Era, and Sable. I love how pigmented these eyeshadows are! Just a little is all you need to create flawless, and seamless eye looks that look professionally done.
So washing my lids with just the All That Glitters eyeshadow, I contoured and blended very well the eyeshadow in Era. It created a natural and fluid look for the day, which can be layered later in the day for a night look.

Not only is the nude quad the most wearable in the collection but everything in the Pedro Lourenço collection will be of use by women who are looking for entry-level shades from MAC. Everything in this collection is so wearable whether it be the lipsticks, the blush, the lacquers, or glosses. I would definitely recommend every item in this collection.

Neither is it very conservative but the shades are more wearable and could be used for a really long time. I am dying to get my hands on the other products from the collection! Just look at that color palette! This has got to be my favorite collection from MAC so far.

  3. Every aspect of this palette is gorgeous. It's one of the MAC limited edition collections that I seriously regretted not buying when I had the chance. I find the quad colors just perfect for anyone. Now that you mention it, ang ganda nga for brides because of that no-makeup glow.

The reason I didn't get it was because the colors, perfectly curated as they are in that quad, are also not that rare. I checked my collection and could find dupes of all four shades. Yun lang nga, I'd need to have four different palettes open in front of me to recreate a look from this Pedro Lourenco collection.

The closest quad I've seen that could match this color-wise would be Happy Skin's All Eyes on Hue palette. That one, I might get when I'm in the market for shadows once more. At least it's part of the permanent collection, if I'm not mistaken. Pampalubag-loob and less expensive. Hahaha.
