I know, I know, it's Tuesday and what should be #liptalktuesdays, I forgot to post this yesterday so I decided to still post this one so I can tell you guys all about my new discovery.

I have had Covergirl's mascaras in my big shelf of pending items for review, but it was only after I saw them in action on my friend and blogger's lashes, Kumiko Mae (www.lovingsunshine.com). I have been admiring her long and lush lashes for a while now from afar and it was only recently that I had the courage to finally ask her what mascara she was using. And she told me that she used Covergirl ("the orange one!"), and I just had to try it on ASAP.
So, here's what Covergirl claims this mascara would do: "Get a blast of lush, volumized lashes! LashBlast’s patented volume-boosting formula and patent-pending brush are designed to max-out each and every lash, leaving you with the ultimate big lash look."
The mascara brush is different from what you regularly see on mascaras. They have shorter bristles, and a much fatter brush that doesn't make the formula clump up on your lashes, getting all up on your biznez!

This wand actually makes applying mascara easier, and accidentally poking your eye with the bristles rarely happens. It's easy to wiggle back and worth as well to evenly coat each lash, so it's really quite easy to use.
 I guess the only complain I have with this kind of mascara brush is that if you have short, sparse hair on your lower lash lines, it would be very difficult to coat them because the bristles are so short. It's not impossible though, it just takes a lot of time and effort.

Here's the mascara in action. Just a single coat of mascara on your lashes give it a false lash-effect which looks great on lashes that are really thin, like mine!
 Check out the curls of my lashes, they stayed in tact.
Now here's me with two coats of mascara. I waited for the first coat to set for about 5 minutes before applying a second coat. My lashes are instantly thicker and longer, and no clumps! That is what's important.
I think a single coat is more than enough. With two coats, the lashes tend to feel a little bit heavy, but still, the curl of my lashes stayed intact! That is the most important quality I look for in a mascara.

I used to think that any waterproof mascara would hold the curl but I only have 2 mascara brands in my list that don't weigh my lashes down.
I believe that finding the perfect mascara still depends on your lashes. Some people still listed a lot of cons on this mascara saying that it didn't hold their curls in place, but it did the opposite on me. Some people also complained a lot about Maybelline's mascaras but again, they worked for me!

Looking for the right mascara is like finding the right man. You should just keep dating until you find the right fit!
