High Tea with Calyxta: Beauty 101 with OFRA

Last October 22, I was invited to Calyxta.com's first ever Beauty 101 hosted by Bianca Valerio -to launch a series of beauty workshops with their partner brands. First on the list, is OFRA, whose lip products have been making waves in the blogging community. They also launched a few lipstick bundles there at the event for its pre-holiday offers.


It was high tea but without the super formality. We were all cozy and we chatted like old girl friends talking about everything lipstick, and Bianca talk about social etiquette so much fun.

It was an afternoon of lipstick swatching fun and I really enjoyed the company of my fellow bloggers. It was intimate which is always a delight because you can catch up with each other without the overly loud music and the formality of it all. Everyone was just comfy around each other.

It was pretty easy for me to talk about Ofra because I have been using these lippies for a while now, and if you read that post, you'll know that I adore their formula. In case you missed that post, you can find that post here.

We had high tea catered at the secret room at Bizu One Rockwell. The room was delicately decorated that will make you feel all so girly!

I have always loved Bianca Valerio for her no-bullshit attitude but at the same time she can act so collected and poise. With us being friends since High School, I learn so much from her when we see each other in school before graduating, and in events like these after college. She's such a sweetheart.
Calyxta choosing Bianca to host the event was perfect. Being a model, makeup artist, and podcast host, she has a bubbly personality and a signature hint of mischief made the makeup and etiquette workshop a fun one.

After she welcomed us at the event, she did a quick introduction on Ofra and she told us all about her favorite Ofra lippies, which I admit, were all drool-worthy. I really wanted to hoard them all. She swatched the lippies one by one on her lips and she also showed us some tips and tricks on how to change from one lippie shade to the another.

Bianca also gave a talk on how to deal with "problems" on social settings like, meeting your boyfriend's family for the first time, or what to do when you forgot someone's name during introductions. She taught us how to cope with embarrassing situations. There was just so much to learn and Bianca was able to jam it all in one afternoon.
