#productreview

I was not blessed with baby-smooth looking feet so I have to result, to forever more, foot peeling masks. The first brand I tried was Nature Republic's Foot Therapy: Peeling Foot Mask.

I loved Nature Republic's peeling mask, but I think I may have found something cheaper and one that works faster.

Purederm Exfoliating Foot Mask, PhP 189.75

After I used my Nature Republic peeling mask, which was a gift from my sister from Korea, I was sad because Nature Republic Landmark always runs out of this peeling mask which is so sad.
Same instructions as the one from Nature Republic too! I was curious because it was more affordable so I could now afford to get a food peeling sesh like once every 2 months! Yes, my feet are that nasty dry, callus-y and cracked. The fact that I walk around bare food all day in the house some days doesn't help either.

What I like about these masks is that you can walk around in them because they are made from really thick, sturdy plastic that you can wear like socks.

Alcohol is the main ingredient and I think that is the reason why you're foot peels in 3-7 days (some cases, more). Loaded with fruit extracts as to not over dry your feet as well. I can't compare the ingredients list with Nature Republic's because their packaging doesn't include English instructions and information.

In some ways, the plastic sock of Purederm is better. The plastic is thicker.

When it comes to quantity of the "juices", I would have to say that Nature Republic had more.

I wore the socks for an hour this time (I wore NR's for 90 minutes), by taping the opening so that I could walk around and the socks will stay in place.

Just 3 Days Later...

My feet started to feel thicker and rougher. Itchy even! That's because he skin on my feet already started to peel and flake whenever I step out of the shower, so like the last time, I did my do-it-yourself foot soak for moisturising/smoothening the skin on the feet:

I a tub of warm water, add 1 cup sugar cane vinegar, and 1/2 cup dishwashing liquid. I like the one from Human Heart Nature because it's all natural. When I am not peeling my feet, I use this food soak and it softens the calluses.

There are patches that haven't completely come of yet, but by day 5, all the dead skin have fallen off in the foot soak and my feet is left with reddish new skin. Yay!

To preserve the new skin, I apply petroleum jelly and wear socks, or an intense moizturising food cream and wear socks.

This brand took only 3 days for my feet to peel which means that the alcohol content may be higher than the one of Nature Republic.

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS:

PROS
  • Fast results!
  • Makes the skin visibly smoother and fair.
  • Has a menthol feel but it doesn't sting.
  • Very affordable.
  • Readily available in Watson's.
  • Easy to use.
  • Gets rid of calluses fast and easy.
  • Safe to use! Specially if you have severely tough callus-y feet and you need to use it regularly.

CONS
  • Some people don't like the alcohol it is mainly made of.
  • Takes a few days to see results.
  • Only available in SM.

Will I re-purchase? Yes.
Will I recommend it? Yes.

MY OVERALL RATING: ★★★★★
